@cannabissequoia I’d say so far my loss from bugs and elements this year is about 15%. Without the net it ranged anywhere from 30 to 50% Depending on the plant. Last year I lost 2/3 of the 9 foot cheese
9ft cheese?? I bet your garden was smelling awesome. No clue why they call it UK cheese though when the breeder is Californian and moved to the Netherlands.
I’ve seen UK Cheese. The cheese I grew was just called Cheese. Wonder if they are the same and they have just dropped the UK in the name? Got these fems from Seedsman. I called last year’s plant Cheezus Christ because of it’s size. Same seed batch this year yielded an early flowering 5 footer. No idea what the deal was.
So fresh dry taste on this year’s Blue Dream is pretty good! Better than most. Bright lemony blueberry taste! Not the loudest, but not too shabby. High is pretty standard Blue Dream, you probably couldn’t tell the difference in a blind smoke test between the clone only and this seed. Except, I would say this year’s seed has less raciness than the clone only version. I can feel it’s usual anti-anxiety effect. It’s a difficult high for me to describe as I’ve been smoking this strain for at least a decade medicinally. It’s such a familiar high. Always reminds me of a hug from an old friend. Let’s see if it gains a bit more sativa fire in the cure… Missing just a bit of the pep in it’s usual step. lol.
Almost forgot… Panama Garlic Haze as of this afternoon is gaining it’s garlic top note. The deeper bottom note is lemon/lime but the garlic is def coming through now, right off the top. It’s gotta come from the haze, haze has something particular to it (some unique to haze terp combo) and the garlic seems to cling there. If that makes sense.
Also, the Sunshine Daydream is so strong, I was almost overweeded the other night. It’'s very psychedelic and sativa leaning. Pure fire. I’m almost afraid of it once it cures. lol It’s not for sissies.
Bit of a long shot @Meesh but your friend you gave my seeds to did she happen to take any pictures??
Is it ok if I still re-tell that story anyway… with the goodwill ending?
Cause it’s hysterical that way!!
I mean, that’s how urban legends are born!
@Esrgood4u Lets find out! I just texted her and asked. If she did I will post for ya
@firehead Yup! It’s a pretty funny ending!
Oh wow. They grew taller than I expected them to grow.
Thanks @Meesh
That’s the Cali outdoors for ya!
I am gonna start some flower seeds today. So far some coleus and nasturtiums. Anyone have any faves that are good for fall starts. I’m talking annuals
I like coleus , what color do you have
I have a seed pack of the rainbow mix that I’m gonna fool with, but I have a bunch of plants in the shade I got this year that are a line of plants all called monkey something’s
The purple is my favorite , but the pink and white look good as well when using it as greenery around other types of flowering plants
I have a dark almost black one that I love. Wish I could remember all the names on the varieties
That one sounds nice . I ordered some tulips back in May just got a email two days ago that they shipped and will be 4 weeks and they have to come through customs. I didn’t realize I ordered them from Holland lol
Been trying to get beds established for each season , its not as easy as most think it is
I love tulips and really most bulb flowers. All my tulips start to fade out after the 2nd year here though and stop flowering. I constantly have to did them up and replace them. For the long term, my daffodils, freesia and gladiolas will go the distance
Do you have cannas and iris , they should do very well for you also. This is the first time for me to try tulips .
No cannas. Irises yes. They also don’t seem to go the distance. They’ll last a year or two though. I had some yellow ones come up in a mystery box I bought this year. They were gorgeous
