Never did a scrog before. But now I’m considering it. I WAS going to try to keep it super small and run only for seed. By scrogging it I can get some smoke too. Still have to consider the 4x stretch in flower.

It can be a bit of work through veg and definitely the first few weeks of flower. But so worth it. Making a frame and screen is the easy part. Anchoring the damn thing so the plant doesn’t push it up is another. I did one once. Had to abort though. Fricken bitch hermd on me! Yes, I’m still sour about it, lol. I’ve got a new one built, but I haven’t used it yet. Lemmi see if I can dig up some pics.

This looks exactly like what I want. How long did you veg for? Im kind of worried that even doing what Im planning to do I’ll still end up with a 4 foot plant if I veg too long to fill out a scrog net.

I think I’m going to continue with the plan and either start out at 12/12 or start flower when she’s 6 inches(TK is supposed to have a 4x stretch). I’ll probably top her to get her to bush out more and scrog from there. I’ve never done anything like this before so this is all new territory for me, but I think I’m up to learn and adapt to make it work.

I got to thinking, I know I KNOW I shouldn’t be doing any of that without parental supervision, but hear me out! While TK and CD would make a great cross, I thought to myself that only doing one cross would be kind of a let down. THEN I thought, what ELSE would go good with CD? I was going through my seed masterlist and I saw it! M29 Afghani x Malawi. It was perfect! I knew the mistakes I had to make. And I made them!

Damn dude, that is brave! I’m not sure how you’re going to wrangle both of those strains in your tent (unless of course you got a bigger one? haha) but I’ll be here to watch them grow.
Another option to consider when working with plants that like to stretch or limited space is to top them above the 2nd node (although I do the 3rd actual node after removing the 1st node altogether) once they reach 6 nodes tall. This essentially makes 4 colas for each plant and you can use bamboo sticks to tie down each branch if you are trying to limit your height.
I know you talked about mainlining and that may be a better option but you won’t have to veg nearly as long with the method I outlined. Especially so if they are feminized, you can probably flip to flower by the 6th week from sprout.

If worse comes to worse you should be able to throw one outside if you need in your climate. I don’t know if that is an option for you but that’s my plan.lol. There is no way I have room for what I have growing inside right now.

Im planning on limiting veg, pot, nutes and will use every little dirty HRT trick in the book.
I plan on vegging till 3 inches tall and flipping, this SHOULD give me a 12 inch plant, I say should because the best laid plans of mice and men and all that. I plan on topping only once, every side shoot will be removed except for the 4 main stems, there will be no lowers or side shoots, just the mains. I will be starting and finishing in a 1 gallon pot. Because Im using octopups I will implement root pruning when they reach the reservoir. Once stretch begins I will use judicious use of tip pinching and supercropping to limit size and help build bigger nugs. I will be implementing a scrog net to help keep the canopy even and low. All nutes from the start will be 1-3-2 ratio before switching to 1-3-3 and then 1-2-5.
This is the plan. But no plan survives contact with the enemey so I really plan to wing it!

If worse comes to worse I’ll have to chop them both as I live in a VERY unfriendly state.
Good news is I may be upgrading the tent in the next month or so. More room, hell maybe even a second tent! Exciting stuff!
