If all goes well I’ll be switching to the 2x2.6x5.11 gorilla tent and move up to a 3x3 or maybe even a 4x4!

Yeah, Ike was a bad one. I remember watching those funnel clouds worried they would become tornadoes… We were without power for almost a month. I remember chilling in the garage with the generator running a misting fan, radio, fridge and our various cell phones. A shotgun by my side and the horrible muggy 80+% humidity in the 90+ degree heat making me wish I was dead.

I drove back to Houston the next day and saw the damage get progressively worse and worse and worse the further south I got.

I got home to no power no water but it was actually kind of fun. Neighbourhood bbqing by the pool because the freezers stopped working, getting military rations and ice from the national guard outside a mega church.

Hurricanes bad but I found it to be an interesting experience.

I moved the seeds into peat pellets and installed the new 240W light. Had a little accident and dropped the peat pots but luckily you can tell who the TK and M29 were as the TK is starting to pop out.

The 1 gal pots I will be using.

The light can be switched from veg mode to bloom mode which is nifty(thats right I said nifty).

Im waiting for a pellet tray and dome which will be here tomorrow.

Well, I’ll need to hold off on the frame because it looks like I am going to be able to get a bigger tent. Im looking at 4x4’s right now. Have the 2x2.5 Gorilla tent for veg and clones and the 4x4 for flower. Im moving on up!

Awesome bro!
I’m a fan of peat pellets myself and super excited to see you starting your new grow in them.
Wishing you the best always brother! :green_heart::v:t3::slightly_smiling_face:

I got sick and tired of seeing seeds damp off so I upgraded my seedling game.

Don’t forget the microbes as well bro…

Hey fellas, just some food for thought…
I used to use peat pellets(you can still damp off pretty easy btw), but then I found coco pellets. They look almost identical before and after you saturate/expand them. But they’re 100% coconut fiber! If anything at all, it’s a more sustainable product. :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

Thats when I plant them into their final pots, but thanks for the reminder!

Oh wow, they’re also about double the price of the jiffy pellets. I guess Its worth it since they are sustainable but double the price seems like highway robbery!

I bought mine locally at a country/ranch/farm(whatever u wanna call it) store. They were about the same price as Jiffy’s, if I remember correctly.
Then again knowing me, I likely bought them on sale or at the end of the season and got a steal of a deal. Cuz I know I bought like a dozen bags of FFOF there for like $10ea at the end of a season one time.
Yes, I’m extremely frugal.

Yes bro…I use the Coco pellets and locally they call it peat pellets (no idea why)

You could sprinkle some into the peat pellet before sowing the seed. :slightly_smiling_face::v:t3:
Like @blowdout2269 mentioned, even these pellets can cause damping off.
I’d recommend bottom watering (place the pellet in a bowl of water for 3 seconds) as opposed to pouring water from top. Also it helps if you wait until the pellet becomes lightly dry until watering again.

I could send some your way if you’re ok with receiving…:green_heart::v:t3:
