I ran hydroton for years in a Water Farms hydro system .

Cuts rooted in Dixie cups till good roots then buried in the pebbles . Never had any issues using them . My system watered over the top however not from the bottom

Seed direct 12/12 gives very nice buds but it fuck up your timing only way for that is to put them in a separate 12/12 for 3 weeks to cull the males and then in you flower regime but then only 8 to 9 weeks be kause they are flowering already clones good genetics wil be all the same seed every one is differen one gives you 15 grams an other only 5

I think my clones may have been too premature for the clay pebbles and 200 watts of led lights a bit too much. Now i am trying to get premature cuts going in rock wool cubes under the same light. So far they seem to be able to handle it, but it can still go both ways.

Good way to run if the numbers don’t scare you.

I prefer a 4/5 ft finished plant with 3 plus ozs with clones getting a month of veg .

I think clones are way better for this setting, but it can be difficult to get all of them to root. At least i still have yet to find a water proof cloning system. Like the strains S.O.G. and Amnesia i sometimes can not get to root. Do you ever have problems with clones not rooting?

Do you use a bubble cloner? I used to have trouble with rooting clones till I switched to that method.

No i always use rock wool but lately the success ratio has gone to a minimum. I have read more people stating that bubble cloning increases the success ratio drastically. I must look into it!

Yes definitely, if you purchase a pre made or plan to make your own . I’d suggest using a manifold and pump plus a air pump and stone.

The combo of the 2 seem to work better than a single unit .
