So…I don’t think my 1st attempt of CS went very well…it turned out like chocolate milk…

I used tap water instead of distilled, as people say it’s not needed… maybe that info is false??

I let it go for 3 hours.

My tap water is 12 ppm and it came out at 57 ppm.
I just used a crappy ppm meter as I didn’t Wanna us my blulab ec meter in case it would screw it up or something…

So I was hoping that @ReikoX or @Mr.Sparkle Sparkle
Or anyone else that makes CS on the regular to give me a few pointers. Would be muchly appreciated

That doesn’t really look right. Ive only ever used RO/Distilled water. I would try again with that.

Looking at the photo with it set up i can see a brown shade forming under opposite electrode to the silver one. Perhaps the polarity on the electrodes was wrong? Or something in that electrode could be corroding into the solution. Which electrodes looked corroded afterwards?

Yes both are 99.9% silver, bought off Amazon

I have only made it twice and I did use distilled water. I also had an one canadian quarter I cut in half. I also used the 3 nine volt batteries and mine turned out fine. I never tested the ppm but it worked.
It should be just a little off colored, not like that. I would try it again with the distilled water after cleaning everything as well as possible. You can do a laser test, I forget the details but it is simple and you can see the silver particles

My bad, I thought I had read somewhere that one of the electrodes was made of something other than silver. Polarity doesn’t matter.

Use distilled water don’t use tap as it cause issues, also once you actually start seeing color in your solution, by that point your silver particles are too large for effective use, so your just waiting till you jsut start to see the water go grey and or bigger particles are starting to drop off your silver conductors, for me thats usually only maybe 30-45min using 9v batteries when starting from straight distilled water, and only 10-15min if spiked with some old cs solution.

and there is a trick to making it go clear afterward though yeah redo it with distilled first.

Today I got another Spyder Farmer SF2000 for the sexing tent to replace the SF1000, which will be moved to the mom part, once there’s some moms in there.

I like your grow a lot. I used CS recently. Go to my journal [BigMike55’s Ongoing Cannabis Log (Part 1)]

I show my setup. Now I can’t vouch wether it worked well or not but it took a clone from a perfect female to a perfect She-male. And I do believe the other female I have with it has been pollinated. We will see in a couple weeks. I think they are about done.

I will definitely check your grow out. It’s much easier for me to check them out when people post them here for ma, as I’m still going through old ones and managed to check out a few of the new to me journals. Seems to be a whole new circle of people here to get to know :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses::partying_face::partying_face::partying_face:

I did pic up distilled water today, and have the day off tomorrow, so I’ll probably give it another whirl.
