Blueberry Preserve’s line was created utilizing a 1990’s vintage Blueberry, outcrossed to another DJ Short creation, First Light. The progeny were then bred in every filial generation— f1 x f1; f2 x f2; f3 x f3 —with each successive generation being selected for traits reminiscent of a beloved blueberry selection we used to cherish decades ago. As a result, the Blueberry Preserve f3 mother used in the creation of the f4 release is as true to the vintage Blueberry as we could get. With blue-tinted flower and hints of purple, she shines through with a pure blueberry expression; no candy, muffin, or pancakes.

But this write up from back in the days shows blue berries is out there
I think theres a report or two over on the canna cabana forum. I’ve got one of the blue bonnet F2 packs… his stuff is very divisive either its really good blueberry or its all bunk. I lean towards the blue bonnet being nice and it was lonestar’s originally and have seen enough comment that the blueberry comes through nicely on crosses.
