Congratulations @Lady.Zandra63 on the find! The grow gods have gifted you for all your generosity and kindness!
It is where they plowed-under the old drain-field last November!!
They are growing now-- either from one of our seed-runs that dropped seeds into the planters, or from a re-veg from the stumps (have had that happen numerous time on the compost pile!)
We are very remote-- closest neighbor 1/2 acre away, rural area, and no one ever comes here-- fencing it this week- then we’re 100% legal!
thats wild!
I love being remote.
I can’t live any other way.
I had 4 mom of the Fruit cup. I have new clones of them as they got too tall.(lesson learned. They were in one gallons so I up potted them in 5gal reused soil and threw them in the flower tent.
I was I had a seedling. Most likely Jilly bean.
Because they are in a VERY over-grown area – I went out and weeded a bit today.
The area is very bio-diverse, and I don’t want to mess with it TOO much, but the Ivy was strangling them, old forsythia growing back, etc… didn’t weed TOO much- but will do more and clean them up/spray tomorrow.
Didn’t realize just how big they were!
The largest (I just call her Big -Un’) has a main stalk bigger around than a quarter!
All3 are right around 5ft so far!! The 4th (Minnie) I’ll keep an eye on-- she’s further from the other 3, and much smaller, as she gets less light and was being strangled by vines.
Would have finished-up tonight, but been running errands all day, and I fell while weeding, so had to call it a day.
BEFORE I STARTED
About 2/3 done
Middle Girl
Big-Un
The Gals From the Deck-- still camouflaged!
WOW!! These things are growing like-- well, like weeds!!
When I went out to weed, they were almost my height (5’3’’)
Now-2 days later they are taller than Draig!
Wonder what they’ll do now that I’m gonna feed and spray them?? ( Just Neem-- there is some bug damage)
My Soil beds do this from time to time and they pop up when they damn well feel like it at random times got two now popping up next to one of last years rootballs
Had a couple of my ladies get knocked up from stray neighborhood pollen from people not pulling thier males quick enough and i get around 30 to 40 seeds out of a 5 lb batch so i never bitch. Some always fall out and i pull them as i go i pull the males on sight and sometimes if she looks like s keeper and i have pistils i plant them out of curiosity.Got a nice Frankie cross going right now thats is as good as the momma or better if thats even possible to even improve Frankie??An update on our outdoor ‘‘volunteers’’
Of the 3 BIG plants, one was a boy-- so I cloned it and chopped him down…the little ‘‘mini-me’’ behind them was also male—so HE got cloned and chopped (IMO-any plant that can survive growing in almost total shade, in a bed of pine needles and totally neglected is worth saving!)
The two remaining girls are getting HUGE!!
One is 7ft3’’ the other is almost exactly 8’’ tall… her base is 7’’ around!!
We are going to have to use fence posts to keep them from tipping, and tie the branches-- looking into net trellising… These are going to get HEAVY branches…luckily, they are really sturdy and thick!
Draig is finally able to get out of the house and walk around the yard-- so his job is checking on the outdoor ladies as his physical therapy!
How are everyone’s outdoor grows going???
.
.
UPDATE!
The bigger gal is now 9’ x 6’ and 18ft in circumference-- and both are actively budding to where the buds can be seen from the house!
Yup. Ever monster crop? Revegging plant looks totally different.
Could be hermie. Could be oppen pollinated and just naturally winterized n germed.
Give it some light stress and you’ll find out.
Can’t reveg outdoors here in Michigan without a greenhouse…
We ‘‘supercrop’’ and reveg inside all the time… been doin’ this a while!
That photo is not quite ‘‘visually correct’’ as far as representing the height.
That is a 4 ft fence -shows where we cleaned out the lower part of the plants.
Our son is SITTING on the ground to hold both the ladder and tape measurer!
But they are still growing and stretching a bit-- and OMG the buds!
Already frosty and getting huge! Some as long as my forearm–and bigger around than a silver dollar…on the LOWER branches!
The top is gonna be huge!
Photo session tomorrow if the rain goes away.
Another update…
Photo’s at night really show off the buds! They reflect light better than the leaves…maybe because of the trichomes…? Never had plants THIS frosty this early in bud!
Hey that can is supposed to go in the recycling!
Looking good.
Got papers, bongs, lighters all ready? If you harvest soon you are not going to remember Christmas.
Best of luck!
Harvest not expected until around October 15-20th…possibly later-- may have to tent them…good thing we have parts to a large greenhouse frame!
