I usually end up leaving it in the freezer for a few weeks until I get the time. Sometimes I see some minor freezer burn but it doesn’t hurt.
Concrete mixer and dry ice.
i was digging @ABushOfKush dance jig and swing “he has got the rhythm” for sure.
i just wanted to make sure i understood what bags you use. am i correct reading that you only use two bags when you make your bubble hash. the 220 and 90 micron?
Absolutely correct. I used to make 25 and 73 micron as well. I would press that into rosin, and afterwards, I would be disappointed and go back to dabbing the 90 micron hash. Now, I don’t even harvest that part, I toss it down the drain. The real tip of the iceberg, is getting a plant that yields lots of hash, and everything falls into place.
You really are on other level, I only have 4 bubble bags, 25-73-160-220 and usually the 160 is trash, and the 75 and 25 good quality hash, the latest strain I processed was white widdow and it was really frozen, I guess 10% of hash from sugar leaves is ok, but I don’t see much diference in potency from one to another, compared to sift hash is much more oily and sticky, but I like them all.
Probably meant 1 percent? I mean, unless it’s dried, then it weighs 90% less, so it seems to yield more.
@JoeCrowe not sure if i stated that right? i’ll re-ask again. you do not use any bags between the 220 and 90. you do not use the 160 or 120 in between them. just the 220 & 90 only?
i understand you only use / process the 90 and not 75 or 25. the part i am trying to wrap my head around is that if you only use 220 & 90 bag, the 90 bag would catch everything in between 220 and 90. i.e. the 90 bag would also contain the 160 & 120? i really am grateful for you advice. i am all for less work kiss method. i have learned the part about having a good hash plant from pressing.
i had the honey bees completely pollinate an outdoor grow. they did not miss one pistil. so i am looking for a way to process / salvage the trics if i can. definitely not shucking them buds way to many.
heh heh yah that’s right only the 220 and the 90. The reason for this method is captured in what I call the “hashishin diagram”. Reminds me, I should produce a current one!
The 160 bag will catch any plant material that makes it through the 220 bag.
This forms got me, ended up buying bubble bags last night and a big mixer for my drill.
Can’t wait till later this year!!
ok here we go! Brace for impact!
These caps are the only thing we care about. The smallest ones, and the largest. They have a specific location on the calyx, so I’ve learned.
This image, is of a plant I went way too far with. you can see goo everywhere. I learned that’s a sign it’s overcooked. so to speak. Anyways, we have 92-144 micrometers/microns. Scale bar is half a millimeter.
So when you capture the trichomes, they should mostly… wind up in that range of bubble bag, mostly.
i just looked up the hashishin diagram and it took me to cannabis microscopy thread post 1292. man you really are on top of things. reading thru that really really helped me thank you. i love to live and learn thanks.
10pct, 30g and I ectract 3g. I only have like 3 or 4 plants at a time and the most I did was gather the 2 last runs sugar leaves and that’s about it.
This are my 25 and 75 hash, looks like a lot of green matter to me. But it is because I don’t make hash from buds.
If you don’t want green matter, maybe only with rosin.
I like people getting used to the idea that they are worth the time and effort to ingest only the finest live hash, it’s high time.
Ok, here me out…
What happens if I take a ball of rosin and knead it in with fresh frozen 25u?
Think it would be a tasty treat. Post a pick of the results.
It would be like taking the best tasting cheese cake and dumping a pile of rat feces on top.
I knew you’d shit on this idea @JoeCrowe !
I’ll make sure you tag you in my testing results.
This being said, I have a hash run happening tomorrow so I’ll use that instead of the fresh-frozen.
