The out of whack THC/CBD ratios are also why I open pollinate and mix all the strains I grow. Landraces are so good because there’s less selection, if any selection at all.
A big field with a wide variety of genetics will provide something for everyone.
We need as much variety as there are people, instead of breeders selecting for flavors and percentages.
Allow it all to mix, as it happens in the wild, as we humans mingle with eachother, this is what makes landraces so precious. The diversity. But for this to succeed organic methods are required. Synthetic fertilizers are again narrow thinking, assuming we humans know what nature needs while we barely know what we need ourselves.
Think outside the narrow box of limitation and embrace diversity. Nature has many pleasant surprises in store for us, if only we would trust that which created and sustains us more and stand back in observance with our hands in our pockets, interfering less, cultivating trust as much as the plants.
A balance of cultivated and inbred along with landraces and mixing everything seems like a nice balance, and this is what is already happening. It’s all good.
