How do they get strains to taste different?

The different tastes of certain strains of cannabis are a product of controlled-breeding programs. The flavour and smell of Cannabis comes from five substances: mono- and sesqui-terpenes, alpha- and beta-pinene, limonene, myrcene, and beta-phalandrene. The amount of each substance present in a given strain will determine the flavor and smell.

They’re are over twenty thousand terpenes in mary Jane… Terpenes and flavanoids are what give weed strains their individual tastes …as a matter of fact. Drug dogs were trained. Are trained to smell a certain terpenes that’s in pretty much every strain. So cool. There’s a wheel of all the strains and the chemical makeup of the repeat… For instance lemonine is a terpene and you could probably guess what that taste is like… Just have to play around with the genetic care to bring different flavs …fun stuff…

Myrcene is also responsible for pain management

Fruity strains are said to be more “addictive” for customers. There’s a lot that a terpene report can tell u.

Hell u don’t even need to grow out the plants anymore! Predictive testing can tell terpene and cannabinoid profiles while they are still in veg.
