You’ll need plenty of freedom seeds as well. 
Just went through the fridge and currently at about 550. This is only in the last 4 years. If I had my stashes from before it would be extensive. More than I could ever grow, so lots gets shared and traded. Community over greed.

I love to hear the passion of growers and breeders who safe guard seeds and try protecting genetics for future grows. It s people like 90% of the OGers here who give me hope that someone has a pack of De Sjamaan Purple widow beans out there just waiting for me. lol

Like probably everyone else here, when I was young I threw away alot of seeds.
Now, after looking for strains I always wanted to grow I have discovered “we always think that someone else probably kept a pack”, ain’t working for me. Yeah, I probably have 60+ strains in the fridge but there is always something I always wanted that shows up.
Then again there is also the happy place when I read on here the other day someone was looking for a strain that I produced alot of seed growing. I got his address and mailed two phenos of that strain to him. Made me feel like a damned hippie.

Me, I don’t want to be bothered to store a bunch of seeds in the fridge, it’s too full already, and my head and calendar are excessively full with my short list. Which is a few seeds each of maybe 30 actual strains, but probably at least 80 packets of different home breeding project crosses.
So I’m super pleased there are those who DO want to keep various seed vaults and fridge boxes to preserve genetics I might one day be super grateful are still around.
Enjoy your seeds however makes you happy. 
…though if I sent them to you, and you enjoyed them as bird seed, maybe keep that to yourself? Unless there’s cute photos of a bird eating out of your hand. I’d like to see those.

Hey @JAWS is there any chance you will one day be releasing seeds of these strains? I’ve heard legendary things about the '79 Xmas Bud, and Alien Pebbles is in my top five strains available in my state’s med program. Would be cool to one day be able to grow it instead of paying premium dispo dollars.

I’m jealous and I thought I had alot of seeds. All these seed conservationist, that’s wassup. Was checking out a few of those lists for two of my all time favs but no one seems to have them. Black Domina and Tropicana Cookies, would luv to do a trade or something with someone that has either one of those.

@jaws you always make me feel better about my compulsion I mean Collection. 
For me it went something like this… I’ll stop when I hit 100, ok 200, well maybe 500, 1000, 1500, 2500… well you get the idea. I have slowed down quite bit and don’t buy too much any more.

For me there is not a limit to the number of packs, until they are not too old to germinate or too many to be able to cultivate…

I can’t post mine, I would be here for several hours typing LOL
I didn’t answer the poll but here’s my take on it.
Growing from 89 to 2005 I had a really nice seed collection. One that could easily be the base for my entire breeding program. Sadly I wasn’t attaching the importance of that collection at the time and much of it was lost and what i did save , I popped them at a bad time and just as I was setting up a small room to grow them out, our landlord decided it was time to sell the house we had been renting for a few years. So all those seedlings, the last of my seed collection, all went in the trash. It was a crying shame.
So fast forward to 2015 up till now… my seed collection is now treated as prize posessions. Doing everything I can to preserve the stock I have and also seed increases to refresh the stock and store larger quatities. I have a quality bar fridge for seeds I might pop soon and pollen I might use within the year. Otherwise I have a quality upright freezer that holds at -18C no matter what goes on outside it. It currently holds 8 x 50 caliber ammo cans with the rubber seal in the lid and I am looking at adding a 9th can after this years breeding work is complete.
I have way more seeds than I will ever grow but I know growers much younger than me that I will be leaving my seed stash to when I pass on. Ensuring that those seeds will be valued and grown long after I leave this existence. So my seed stash, with clear instructions to my executor , is listed in my will although I may update the recipients list between now and my final days. My nephew and the son of a friend of mine are on the list so far .

you need the ex filer it makes everything easy and quick. of course you have to take the time to get all your goods listed in it but once you do its like this easy.
