How much money have you won or lost?

I was wondering about how much money have you ever won or lost on a sports game, lottery, contest, gambling or one on one pool/dart game etc?

When I worked on the trading floor every year I lost $1K on a Superbowl Squares for 20 yrs. the squares were $1K each…$90K cash if you won…I won $1K on state lottery a couple times and not even gonna you you how much I’ve lost and lost a wallet with $500+ inside.

My wife and I stopped at the casino on the way from our wedding reception to the airport for our HM and won $1100 combined on 2 slots in a half hour. We couldnt stop smiling.

I spent a bunch in scratcher and feel I broke even… I’ve been to the casino 3 times. One time I gave my wife 50 bucks and continued to insert my 50 into the machine. She lost hers quick, first roll in I max bet on accident not knowing really what I’m doing and won 760 dollars. We had a nice night filled with bong hits a dabs… the reason I say I broke even on scratchers is because always ended winning half my money back and then I hit 700, and 500 3 times. And quit gambling years ago.

Took one hell of a gamble and ended up with a third kid. Win, loss, you be the judge.

There was that one time my health insurance refused to pay for some treatments. I lost $25k on that one. Good fucking times there, let me tell you.

I’ve had some pretty good weekends being a degen in Cherokee and Charleston WV. Play a lot of (1/2 1/3 2/5) I’ll hit a tournament a couple times a year. First year playing cards I probably lost 3k. Over time I’ve became a profitable cash player. Wife talked me into playing slots a weekend away. She hates gambling. First machine hit for 6500 just enough for that tax form lol

I won $850 on a hockey parlay at the end of last year. I honestly don’t do to bad with sports gambling. I only deposited a total of $250 all of last year and withdrew over $4500. I just deposit $25 at a time on the app and once I win over $100 I withdraw $50 and use the rest to continue. I usually only have to deposit every 4-5 weeks. Oh and I only bet on hockey, football or basketball. I lost my ass a few years ago trying baseball and while it was only $25 a week, losing gets old fast lol.

I like that, you have to ‘dig’ a little…

The corollary being … Eventually, the House always wins…
That was insight :+1:

1-2 no limit. I played other limits but found myself significantly more consistent at this level. My bankroll was never big enough to play much higher either as I was living off the proceeds.

Also 5 card draw

They have football squares at the trading floor so we bought 3 at $500 a square…Me and 2 of my buddies always go in together, if any of the 3 squares wins we split it 3 ways…winner gets $45K and $5K goes towards a private party at a bar with free drinks/food & entertainments…

When the UK lottery very first started when I was young waaaaay back in the day. My mother was a little short to put her numbers on so decided to feed us kids rather than gamble. 5 of her numbers came up. Think it paid around 2k. Back then that was a lot of money. That was the first time I seen her cry properly Infront of me. Once I started work I started putting her a line on twice a week. We’ll get it eventually :v:
