Here’s one setup.
You can probably get it cheaper with the make offer button. You get 3 chances so start low - 30% discount may work as first bid.

Do I open it? Do I not open it? Do I really want to know what’s in there?
Plants are good for our physical and mental health. They make your air cleaner
It’s legal, you’re a grown ass man & you want to do it
What more reason do you need??
Consider the “money” argument, that usually works. It worked for me, we were spending almost 300/mo on flower, now i spend WAAAAAY less than that on materials.
*Edit OOOPS you’re already approved, lol. Cool!
Get the cheapest 2x4 tent you can find. Probably like 50-60 on amazon.
Consider two Bloom Plus BP1000 lights. 95watt each and last i checked they were about 60 ea.
Cheap 4" inline fan and filter, maybe another 50.
Grab a couple cheap clip fans at your local walmart, about 8-10 apiece.
DO NOT waste your money on a kit. For some stupid reason, buying grow equipment as a kit costs more than piecing out your setup individually
Were going to a Hydro store to ask questions and do some research. Ill check back later.
Sorry but I must disagree with the kit being more expensive. I did alot of searching (weeks) and found kit deals cheaper. On a quick search I agree but if you’re on a tight budget, and do the legwork, the kit comes out on top.
I’ve bought a couple of things from the Aus Vivosun eBay store. If you “watch” the item or select it but don’t complete the sale, they usually send you a 10-20% off offer in a day or two.
Hydro stores push sales so be wary of what they tell you to buy. I frickin love my local hydro store & the guys there are fantastic, but I have a decent knowledge base of my own & I can still kinda dissect their sales pitches.
Just don’t go in blind & you should be alright.
@JOHN1234 show me
@RookieBuds Got this at Christmas for $159 otd
Lets see yours
To be fair… I did get this for $269 during a lightning sale
OK but that kit doesn’t have a light so it’s not a full kit. THAT’S my point. FULL kits are a waste of money, not partial kits on a Christmas sale.
That light though. Now THAT is a screamin deal on its own
No doubt about the light! I was so excited to get that deal.
I posted it like 5 different places here hoping some others would benefit as well
I understand your logic about the kits. That’s where the legwork comes in.
My objective in disagreeing with you was to make sure all options were explored.
I was crazy busy searching between Thanksgiving and Christmas for any and all options.
The tent deal was only worth it to me because I use the 4" fan and filter as a make up only. I had a 6" fan and filter already as primary exhaust. 4" for a 4x4 is too small IMO.
Definitely a solid idea is waiting for sales to buy gear
4/20 for obvious reasons, tends to have the best deals IMO
When you get the cash I encourage you to consider the use of an ionizer. This could start a whole health debate on this thread. Regardless, they are very effective. Since you are in a basement the ionizer would attack molds and fungi as well.
Also, you might consider (when you have cash) a charcoal filter for your exhaust fan. Mine works great. I have nosy neighbors and it worked for me.
I was lucky enough to source brand new products from Craigslist they were open boxed but 100% unused and the bags were all sealed, just open box. I got lucky and found a 4x4 vivosun tent for just 60 bucks. A 2x4 vivosun tent with a brand new un used ac infinity 4inch fan both for 120. That’s like paying for the fan and getting a free tent. I hear Facebook market place is also a good place to look. But if you can’t find any, 420 sales are right around the corner. Fans, dehumidifiers, and humidifiers to me are very important indoors. I skipped the carbon filter because I live in LA where the entire county is full of pothead and our air smells like weed all the time lol. And my family don’t mind. Neighbors all smoke as well, you couldn’t tell where or who, just don’t care here really lol. In case you get used equipment, I’ve read you should quarantine them in case of bugs and mites. I hear they are a pain to get rid of once they call your garden a home. Also, you can visit Amazon and in the search bar type “Amazon warehouse” it will bring you to a different page, and there is where they have open box items if you’re on a budget like myself
@Foreigner goes to ‘open house’ realtor showings for just that reason.
Lock your doors folks!
