How to Identify lineage?

Oh I’m not blaming you for the possible nanners at all. Plants look great, it’d more than likely just be the genetics. Pretty common honestly.

I guess this brings up a new question, are these seeds junk, are they pre-dispositioned to herm or making nanners(sorry if this is the same thing, still learning)?

Really won’t know until you pop them but definitely possible they could do the same thing. They could be fine tho.

Excellent, so I’m not just crazy, or at least not for thinking that was a thing!

How could these seeds be junk? You said your self it’s some the best smoke you ever had. I would say that’s a solid endorsement for them being good. A few seeds in a multiplant harvest is no cause for alarm in a home grow. Hell some people appreciate a couple seeds and just grow them out. Unless you are breeding or a commercial grower or really get deep into this, don’t let a nanner ruin your day and definitely don’t let a couple seeds turn you off from the best smoke you have had! The plant just wants to live on and provide you with more plant babies

If it’s only a few seeds I’d say you are good to go.

Thank you for this. I mean I was still going to grow them anyway but just didn’t know what to expect.

If the topic is growing out the beans from flower that likely hermed, the real question to me is whether you have some sort of environment issue (e.g. light leak) or RPC is prone to herming if stressed (e.g. too much water, not enough water, too much nutes, etc) or simply prone to herming in general. The first two you can deal with if you can figure out the problem… the final one is why people are reticent to grow out beans from flower that hermed. If you’re only growing that one strain and don’t care if they herm a little, no worries, if you’d prefer they didn’t herm you could keep a close eye on them or forgo growing them all together.

On a semi-related subject, I found a bean in a jar of dispo flower a few years ago, and then later saw someone posting on IG about having found a seed in the same strain from the same cultivators (on the cultivator’s IG account)… cultivators played it as a bonus. Not sure if the other person bought that argument.

For sure man. I just probably needed more indica today. If the smoke is primo, I wouldn’t be too worried about a few nanners. Back in the day before this whole interwebs thing, I’d be excited for a few seeds. Thats how I got my next plants to grow.

# Rainbow Pound Cake S1

$350.00

thats a spicy clone - edit- oh shnap its seeds, still looks yuumy and 34% lol where do they get these numbers?

A little update after speaking with the guy at the local organic shop where I got these seeds. They are a Rainbow chip x London pound cake cross. After reading descriptions on those, I understand all the aromas that I experienced while they were in flower and while smoking, a little more(barely).
