How to properly overgrow a tent

Given the harsh conditions - I’m amazed how good they are doing

Out of 12 plants: 1 rotted, 1 hermed, 1 was a total runt and 2 were males, leaving me with 7 healthy seeded females.

I still have 1000+ old skunk beans to go through, but germ rates are driving me nuts hah
Fresh seeds are incredibly precious

My only problem with rot is it shows very late in the grow. That’s wasteful lol…

I might post smoke reports from the stand outs…
With 50 plants to test I’ll be here for a while

The revegs are pretty much ready to be cloned. That means I need to know how many of each do I need to do what I want to do. Easy right.

I excluded the plants that are slow or have not started to reveg after 2 weeks (sk5, og12, maybe more)

Orange1
Og1 x og1 (s1)
Og1 x og10 (fem)
Og1 x skunk1 (fem)

I’ll reverse cuts taken from the Mom when needed. Also, since I cannot flower big plants in this setup, I’ll have to use multiple cuts to s1, probably 2-4 depending on how many beans I plan to need. Gotta get ready for the summer, and feed my bean popping habit y’know :innocent:

I’ll most likely flower the to be reversed cuts first, collect pollen and then flower to be seeded cuts. Pollination will be staggered over the course of a week or so… ie everything to be pollinated by og1 on day1 stay dry, all others get sprayed and bagged. Pollinate and wait a few hours… unbag and spray. Then spray and bag everything but those to be pollinated by sk1 on day2. Etc. Spray, bag, pollinate cycles until I want to cry, lol.

I don’t have the best organizational skills, so help is welcomed.

Using a 2x4 is part of the challenge of course, keeps it fun(for me) and you gotta run a very tight ship, but I like it very much.

I used to run a 12’ x 24’ with the same purpose and it was - what’s the word… INSANE.

I like your planned crosses, that is serious wizardry pulling that off in a 2 x 4!

It’s worse than you think :grimacing:

I’m running my stink or bust thread from the same tent and will be doing the same thing with those😅

:mage:

Small seed batches of course. I’m aiming for 50-100 seed per cross/plant. The goal is to put 20-30 of each outside to select superior matings and then do large seed runs with the winners.

Soo… you are using Dr. Who’s Tardis… as a grow tent? :vulcan_salute: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I really have to figure out how you are pulling this off!

Wizardry of course

I’ll do my best to document and explain the process as I go.

But basically it’s a perpetual sog with a super duper secret pollen management program on top of it. Sounds complicated but it’s fairly simple, perhaps a little labor intensive haha

So today I was talking with a friend and we started talking about seeds and how I tried to convince some globetrotter friends to collect and send me seeds (unsuccessfully :upside_down_face:)

[Redacted]

… the mofo had a very private ganja tour in Jamaica and collected 2 Mason jars of seeds !!

They’re all mixed in the jars and hes unsure of the strain names. But holy shit we’re going to pheno hunt some jam boys !

Super exciting! Can’t wait to hear more

This is such a ripper of a journal, by the way. I can’t believe all that you get up to in a 2x4.

You lucky Mofo… Tag my Ass in your new Ganja adventure

There’s a whole story and a half with these lol

When it’s time to take notes, cuttings, make crosses, I too can’t believe it haha.
It’s really out of necessity. I lost all my cuts 2years ago and the big boys won’t share top cuts with me since it’s their “weapon against the competition”. So I said f em. I’ll do it myself.

I could grow in a bigger space, but “This cut comes from a fucking nobody growing in a 4x2” has a nice ring to it. Lmao

110% :muscle:

Any idea what year they were collected?
I was lucky to be able to work with some collected 2007.

That would be 2019 or 2020. In the mountains. He was invited/showed around by one of those “anything and everything is one phone call away” guy…

I’ll for sure pick my friends brain more and will talk to his older brother (who was there and was pissed his lil bro smuggled a bunch of seeds lol)

Quick update

I took cuts from both oranges, skunk1, both lifesavers then chose a mother for each and uppoted them to 5" pots.
The 4 Sour strawberry “keepers” also got new shoes. #1 is a bit slow to reveg but others are ready to have cuts taken. I’ll give them a week maximum before taking cuts just to make sure they’re well established.

I’ll photo bomb tomorrow
But for now…

The ones in bad shape on the left are 2 harvested plants that refuse to revert + 3 males Sour strawberry I’ll take cuts of soon and left overs from the lifesavers I’m keeping while the cuts are rooting
