How To Ship Penetrating Skunk, UPS, FedEx or USPS

Instead of taking it on my flight, I’d like to try shipping 3 grams to myself to my travel destination via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
But have you found a way to package flower (i.e. uber smelly buds) such that the intensely penetrating ridiculously strong odor of strong Skunk is undetectable in a small light package/parcel?
Thanks, Dan

If your leaving from a legal state put it in your carry-on and carry on. I’ve gone from California to Nebraska a few times like this and never had problems. I never bring it back the other way though.

I usually double or triple vacuum seal with my Food Saver, washing the bag off each time I seal it inside another one. Grab a box from the post office and take it home for packaging, then take it back later to be shipped. If you are super worried about the smell, get a jar of peanut butter from the store and submerge the bag in the PB. Wrap it in bubble wrap and ship it

People fly back with pounds in their carry on and suitcases… Smell proof container in you’re carry on will be fine. You’re not doing anything with customs so it’s pretty easy actually.

Wrap in aluminum foil inside a plastic bottle

Time to get a vaccum sealer. Or Saran wrap and Vaseline.

Make RSO, bake into cookies, ask the nice people inspecting your luggage if they’d like one when they randomly pull you out of line to toss your bags for contraband.

I’ve shipped stuff to myself and friends before and always double vacuum seal it. Make sure to wipe the outside of the packages with alcohol real well to remove and smells from your hands touching the outside after touching the flower. Never had an issue with it

I vote for the vacuum sealer. Double it up (vacuum seal one pack inside another). Then put coffee grounds in a third vacuum bag, and seal up the double wrapped bag in it.

It’s very important that you do not touch the outside of any of the vacuum bags with your hands after touching the weed or the bag you originally had the weed in. Also, fold down the top of the first bag where you’re putting the weed in. You don’t want anything to touch the part of the bag that won’t be on the sealed side.

Oh, and most importantly - DO NOT SHIP WITH THE POST OFFICE. They’re gov’t, and are better equipped and set up to identify these things. UPS and FedEx just want to get your package to your destination as fast as possible. I know people use the post office all the time for shipping weed, but some of those people are also the ones who get busted.

I’ve done this before - going to and from Miami - with no issues. I made energy bars, but it’s the same concept. But I think @fastarkid would like to keep his weed in bud form, so he enjoy those stinky terps when back at home.

I vaguely remember a poster of the same name asking the same question on the old overgrow way back in the day. I remember we were all kinda mean to him. It’s nice that weeds mostly tolerated in the US these days, but my advice if you’re going somewhere it’s not legal just find a plug there transporting controlled substances across state lines is already a federal offense and just more trouble than it’s worth. Even if you get popped by local pigs trying to buy a dub that’s just a ticket most places.

The mylar bags work really well. Some you can get with zippers, then with an iron on hot seal the top edge. Like some of the mylar seed bags. They even make one call smellyproof.

I think regular mylar is just as good, and you can find them on ebay.

The double seal seal a meal is would probably work too. Then you have a seal a meal to seal up buds, and food in the future.

The post offices in Canada sell scent blocking mailers. I think the secret ingredient to these envelopes is mylar, which keeps the smell contained for the same reason that those mylar hospital balloons stay inflated seemingly forever.

The vacuum sealer is a tried and tested solution. That’s how I’ve always known weed to move through the mail discretely.

Back in the day I would travel a lot for work. I would take an empty pill bottle and some empty gel caps. Then I would grind up the weed and shove it in the gel caps. Throw that bottle of “supplements” in with your toiletries and you should be fine.

Keep in mind the TSA guards on domestic flights are looking for guns and bombs, not weed and bongs.

The secret to scent proofing is usually a metalized/foil lined bag. Most bags like that will work, especially if heat sealed.

Fresh coffee grounds are amazing. Years back i drove “team” on a semi. On one trip we were hauling a load of iced fish down to L.A. When we dropped the load the van smelled strong fish. The experienced driver knew just what to do. Got a couple of large tins of coffee, spread all over the van, then we broomed it all out - van smelled like fresh coffee, not a hint of fish smell.

I never knew it could work on fish smell. That’s good to know. I learned about it first hand when I was traveling back from Jamaica. Someone I knew who was traveling back at the same time as my friend and me brought a couple of ounces back to the States. She used zip lock bags and coffee. Fresh ground Jamaican coffee.

Get home, take off your shoes, have a toke or two with some good, fresh Jamaican coffee. Life be good!

You could try Bear bags, peeps use them for hiking on the AT and another parks that you don’t want the bears to smell your food. Food for thought…
