Birkenstock and Blundstone are like the yin and yang of professional kitchens, Danskos suck, I can’t wear them with the elevated heel and narrow sole, they’re too tippy. I’ve worn Alpros, which are the really industrial Birkenstock clogs, and those are more traditional with the heel and stuff but I just fucking love these flat, low, duck foot things, I’ve probably had six pairs and a dozen footbeds over a decade in kitchens. I got out and then now I work at a farm in a concrete floor warehouse and they’re the ticket again, with the cork insoles, I don’t like the polyurethane one. They’re the closest to being flatly barefoot of any shoe I’ve ever had that wasn’t a minimalist runner or something.

After flying Southwest this Spring with 10,000 seeds, an ounce in my hoodie, and 25 pounds of mescaline cactus and not having any problems, I open carry from now on, lol
