Hurricane Ida

This is 100% something to hold on to. I hope you got your supplies in order. Hell, i’m so paranoid at all times I have a bugout kit hidden in my car; even if it’s just a breakdown I have water tablets & everything!

Yes but how are your plants?

I’m glad the trees didn’t hit the house. No more holes in the ceiling.

I was in a smaller hurricane years ago so I’m there with you. I remember the roadways being filled with flooded trash and downed power lines.

It became a party because the bbq gas lines were still working and we would steal water from the pool to flush the toilet

Stay safe it looks ugly

wow, thanks for giving us an update - glad you guys are OK! That’s unbelievable, you totally called it, those trees were coming down. Very happy to see it spared your neighbor’s house, although the fence is toast. Can’t imagine how scary it must have been to ride out the storm.

frightening reminder of what’s going to happen with my house if/when we get hit. the nor-easter winter storms we get up here could easily do it. I’ll have to evacuate as there’s also a huge propane tank right under the trees.

I am not sure. I put the seedlings I had in the window, my photo plant didn’t do well and likely has to go just got too hot, and no light for a long time. Not really sure how my seeds are, haven’t opened the fridge to see how bad that is yet.

Yeah… I just kept seeing those trees fall the day before, weird skill I have when disaster is coming lol. And… they totally BOTH did. They spared his house aside from a little roof damage, destroyed my whole yard, but fell to my other-side neighbors house and did some massive damage to the roof over his back patio. Not sure if it’s worse or not because I can only see so much under the tree.

You might see me on the streets soon begging for gas. I’ll take a bag too.

hopefully you’ll get lucky and your neighbors will pay to clean up the trees…my greatest fear is not even the tree crushing my roof, it’s the rain pouring through the holes afterwards - would pretty much total the house and everything in it within a few days

I had moved a bunch of related posts to this thread. It’s my fault if I mixed in something not meant, sorry about that.

I just ran and checked things out, no one is even trying to fix things, poles just snapped in half every where! I had my two autos in the window and they are pissed, ones twisting all weird and one stretching for sun lol poor babies. I just did a harvest and started all new ones at least.
