I figured my first ever OG post should be an introduction!
I am a grower in the US hoping one day to expand this hobby into a full time dream!
I have been a lurker in the cannabis scene a while now starting when I was younger with youtubers such as customgrow420, masterbong420, weedporndaily, and a bunch more I could list forever! My real interest in growing came after a few unsuccessful attempts when I discovered videos by Dr. Bugbee and Greengenes Garden (a lot more I am failing to mention) and the whole microgrowery community on reddit. I am still learning about this plant every day and the more I learn, the more I realize there is to discover! Lately I have been diving a lot more into breeder culture and history because I feel it would be very fulfilling, personally, to be able to work my own generations of plants that I can share with others! I have a few breeding projects I am taking on so that I can learn more, firsthand, about breeding and selecting parents.

Glad you decided to join. You say you have a few breeding projects that you’re taking on, so it sounds like you’re really diving into the hobby. Good for you! We’d love to know more about your projects - and keep in mind, we LOVE pictures!

I am very glad I joined too @Purple-N-Hairy ! I’ll have to make a post for my current open pollination project and all if the mothers used! It was a spur of the moment decision because I ended up with thrips in my library from not quarantining a clone, a really stupid mistake, so I decided to just seed everything with two males from a Top Dawg line I really enjoyed! Hopefully it’ll let me keep around some of the genetics I would have most likely lost!

@ciganomarola This really is a goldmine! I am kind of disappointed in myself for not joining sooner!!! I really appreciate your comment, especially regarding the humbling and empowering aspect about previous generations of growers! I am really starting to realize the importance of respecting and learning from those before you as there really is only so much you can learn on your own! Hopefully I can eventually equally contribute as much as I receive from this community
