Yes, I believe Bloom alone is a 15ml recommendation. I never have fun with conversations… nor tablespoons, teas spoon abbreviations… GH needs a Canadian Label and table Spoon and Teaspoon need contrasting short forms.
No, I use Technaflora BC nutes and I go by how my plants look after a day or 2…
Less than recommended dosage.
When my plants looks like this it tells me that I’m pushing my bloom nutes, check out the serrated edges pointing upwards…but I love it.
You ask why your plants are dying, because your Ph is probally 4.2 from adding nutes. Common sense would dictate that if you keep loosing your plants maybe it’s time to start checking and fixing your ph.
I can also probally assume you have no clue what your PPM or EC is of your solution too.
Dude, come on…
If you’re not trying to at least be somewhat accurate in your measurements, how the hell are you figuring out if you’re over feeding, underfeeding, or just plan old killing your plants from really low Ph.
I used to chase that perfect PH but after awhile I stopped chasing the PH nowadays… I don’t check PH or ppms, I just go by the way my plants looks…it’s just me folks and it works for me.
But you know what your plants need, your not going into feeding blindly, if you do a certain program and you checked your ph, then you know what works and what doesnt.
i just had to start PHing never an issue before i moved here … water tastes great but the ph is 8.9 from the tap
To be in control you need a ec and ph meter : )
@TheShowMeHomie what ppm is your tap ? Just out of curiosity : )
I made two mistakes that involved feeding.
One was a crazy dumb. I early on assumed the veg and bud nutes did not overlap.
Veg for Veg and bud for bud ( 3 part system ) and micro always. I didn’t absorb ALL the instructions on the bottle , spent most of the time griping about doing conversations just to give a cap full. Cap is actually very close to the actual amount I needed. The not overlapping is what did it (damage). I know better now and I have a proper ml dropper that makes the most difference as I can Guage what my plants need and control that. Also, I was (last time) feeding nutes ever watering. Changed all that and I just keep an eye on my plants. My new plants are killing it! So far. Friesland Indica grown in a hedge formation, healthy/happy starting to stink 2-3 feet in May, now very wide and the one with untouched top 6 ’ with nice long side branches.I let all but one go natural , mostly I bent some of the tops. One I topped from the 4th node on. I want to see the difference. I saw gramps’s outdoor and letting them go untopped and just using a coated steel grill wrapped around to feed branches through seems to do awesome and encase you want to pollinate , it is recommended you not train the plants involved so if you get the urge to dust a lower branch it’s a green light. The verdict is not in yet on what yields better. I will mix it up next year with clones and get a more accurate comparison.( I managed to get a clone of the fattest one. ) I am very very happy with this new grow. so far, yet I wonder if my spot has the right amount of sun or if my neighbors outdoor night lighting will bother the rest of my plants.Time will tell.
247 - 253 its bouncing a lot
Jesus, my tap from the city is 10 ppm on the 500 scale
200 ppm is middle of the road between soft and hard
@Syn , 10 is very soft close to RO , you would deffo be needin extra calcium mag on top of your feeding , mine is 40 ppm I must do the same : ) if your plants are yellow ish on centre of new growth then you will need extra iron too : )
@TheShowMeHomie The bouncing of 5ppm is very tiny , nothing I would be concerned about : ) unless your plants say differently , may just be difference in time when collecting , ie peak time 247 , off peak 253 . Or even just someone near you excessively using a lot of water at random times kind off : )
Because everyone uses different nutes and our tap is different also , it would be beneficial for everyone to have a ph and ec /ppm meter , as we can then all learn from each other and no one will be in the dark guessing fiddling with caps and tea spoons not truely knowing what’s really going on in there feeding , makes things easy to compare with eachother and we can then learn more : ) then the next stage is to put your feeding into a spreadsheet ( if you can’t do that maybe ask someone to do for you ) then you can compare your feeding with everyone elses spreadsheet , even if they are using different brand nutes , and adust accordingly to suit best with the nutes you have on hand for that stage
You can learn a lot about the plant and its needs thru out the grow with ec/ppm , ph meter and a spreadsheet , will make you a better grower , don’t put your trust in the back of the bottle , be in control : )
All the numbers seam daunting at first , but is quite easy once the penny drops and becomes simple and fun : )
no i was more saying my meter wasn’t locking in it bounced around for 5 minutes lol
i agree with everything you are saying though
way ahead of you, 250ppm of calmag right off the bat
@syn , your on the ball : ) some calmag have extra iron in them , might be worth a try , but remember most calmag has n in it , so this must be taken into concideration come flowering time as it may / will change your npk ratio of final mix eg a 1/1/1 type with 250 calmag will change that final ratio to 1.75/1/1 , depending on what brand used ( calcium nitrate content varies ie canna v’s … etc ) if your wanting to push p and k in flower harder and reduce that n further : )
@TheShowMeHomie haha I get you at them small numbers increments ( 1 ppm ) it’s hard to fix readings abit like them pocket scales that go down to 0.001 g always twitchy / teetering : )
With my Bluelab trunsion I can only work in 50ppm increments
I use Technaflora BC nutes and I make a big batch of veg & flower nutes…
Then I keep it in this concontainer.
Been using this formula for over 18yrs. and it has never failed me…I use this in my SWC/TRON & 5 gals. DWC grows…
Are you just putting a rooted clone into a collar, into a netcup??? No media ?!?
Damn. Just damn.
Everyday I’m amazed by something on here. Quite often by you phil
