Only to a minor extent, much of the inheritance is additive rather than the simple dominance/recessive model. I.e. plants with 10% thc x 20% thc will generally average around 15%, though outliers, i.e the transgressive segregates may be outside those min/max range.
Back crossing would be your best bet as selecting will be difficult as you will need large numbers and traits often don’t pop up in every generation, so you can’t always tell by looking, this is especially true for heterozygous plants like virtually all cannabis.
