So it’s pulling 219 watts and i need 250 he’s sayin it’s good for a 2x2 i have a 2x4 …so I’d need 2? But if i get 2 then that’s 438 watts which would be an over kill?
Lol I’m not understanding and have to go based off of other ppls tests like this dude which thanks for the video. I gotta do more research

Ok minimum recommended light power for a 2x4 using LEDs would be 35w a sq ft. So 8sq ft would be 280 Watts minimum for veg more for flowering.
2 of those would be just over 50w a sq ft which is probably perfect for max light and growth. Buddy in the video said they are $100 lights so he is in the US a bit cheaper for you guys on the exchange rate.
They also have half power button for veg and full for flowering, and a built in timer.
I think they are good value for the money, and not much more expensive than building your own. The only thing that would make it better would be Samsung LEDs I think it uses Epistar.
The other thing is the height as the drivers are stacked on top of the lights so you will lose what looks like 6 inches more than a homemade set up.

okay okay interesting so in total i need 400w for flower coverage
but i want something dimmable or whatever so im not hitting them right off the bat wirh 400w
and going off the advertised titles id want to be in the 1000 range i might just DIY it

They dim by 50% for veg and seedlings you just lift the light higher.
I like my self made lights, and think they are great, it’s nice to have options if you don’t want to build one though, I think that light is a good option.

It’s about time to get another grow going! Should i start a new diary or continue this one hmmm
Anyway i got a Bluelab pH meter and I’ve re upped nutes I needed plus got hades down which is their pH down.
Probably gna 86 getting new lights taxes came i jumped the gun and got another tax form i have to file which i May end up owing so moving on no more finicky pH meters doing 4 to 5 plants regular seeds should i do 6 assuming 3 are going to be male?
Going to start germination Monday wet paper towel method.
Adding one shot to the solo cups eliminating the need to feed early on.

It’s hard to say with seeds, you never know until they show sex, I have had 5 males out of 6 seeds before, usually I will crack 4 seeds and hope for one female, if I get more it’s a bonus, if I get one, it makes clones until I have the amount I need. Your set up doesn’t allow for that so I would hatch double what you’re planning on growing and hope you get more than you need, so you have choices.

Hmmm so you’re sayin there’s a good chance more than half will be male 
so i only want about 4 plants i want to keep them small. And what if i told you i have only planted 1 fem seed in my growing career the rest have been regular seeds i mean i haven’t had that many plants but i think I’ve been extremely lucky having 6 plants 1 being male 1 hermied mid flower (my fault)

Yeah that’s pretty good success, no I am saying it’s a possibility, you don’t no for sure until they are ready to be sexed.
Depends on how crucial it is to having the right amount of females you want to grow.

Not very crucial i don’t have a set amount i need this is all 100% for me i would like at least one female ima go with 6 seeds and see what happens if i run out of space i can probably put one or two outside

2/16 all 6 planted in nectar #4 soil with a sprinkle of one shot and about 5ml of water with a ziploc and a rubber band.

Well well well took a peek i now have 3 above ground 1 with its helmet still 2 i see green and i got 1 that’s lifted the soil up like a trap door lol must of packed it down too hard…i usually make a hole about an inch deep and with my finger give a little love tap or two once it’s in the hole
