Jaybeezy’s garden

Keep an eye on them too much humidity can cause them to damp off. I usually just have a dome on them the first couple of days above soil, then they get normal conditions.

I find for me here, the thing I have to watch is rapid temp drops. They can’t cope with it and keel over, so I just use the dome as a buffer.

Looking good so far :+1:

I cut a corner off of each one and with the domes everything still dries out i figured it would help with me and watering in this stage even with my humidifier on set for 70% it never gets that high it hovers in the 30s…so i figured I’d keep em in there till the true leaves come in which at this rate should be in a day or two

And about rapid temp change makes me think i should do 24 hour lights till they’re older

2/19 took all bags off (humidity domes) i discovered some fuzz…white fuzz not sure if it’s good fuzz (microbes) or bad fuzz

I got a quick response from Scott he said it’s most likely good fuzz but to make sure it doesn’t climb the seedlings

The fuzz is digesting the one shot how beautiful

Yeah white fuzz on the soil is ok, but not on the plant, that’s what causes the damping off. My humidity dome I use, doesn’t have water misted in it, it’s just there to buffer tempreture, not to provide moisture.

Fair enough mine was strictly for moisture because i always struggle with it.

Do you think if i turned off my exhaust fan till they get bigger to keep humidity up it would be good or no lol i know how important fresh air is but if i can’t get my humidity up with it on what else can i do maybe i shoulda left the domes on because i don’t want the fuzz to die from dryness

Depends what your humidity is like. Mine will be good around 45 to 70 percent, the higher the humidity, the more air movement I like to have on them. That’s why they only get the first 48 hours above ground in the dome. Once those proper leaves start mine are good to come out. In summer I won’t bother, just winter time, when temps drop fast outside when the sun goes down. The grow room can get a chill on before the house heating catches up.

I’ve always thought about doing that especially outside

i think they are thriving!!! i got one with what looks like some burnt tip but im not too worried right now just going to keep an eye on it

ive been giving 3 ml in the domes at 6.5ph and yesterday no dome i gave 5 ml since they dont have the dome to keep moisture in they all go a sprinkle of one shot to keep them fed till transplant

It’s from strayfox. If I recall, it’s a hybrid of yeti og and OMG (old mother ghani).

Started adding SLF 100 to waterings and every morning i have some morning dew on em i thibk humidity is good I’m not a fan of having my exhaust fan off but at this rate i thibk I’ll be able to flip it on in a week!

I think I’m going to try some regular plastic pots this run. I like my smart pots but I’m not a fan of worrying if the water or feeds are going straight down or running out the side

Next time you email the 'dude about nutrients, I’m curious what the shelf life is on it. Have some about 13-14 months old kept in dark at room temp & only the bone meal one is funky smelling. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

:evergreen_tree:  :poop:

Sure thing! Honestly I’ll go back and watch some videos on it and come back with an answer i remember 1 thing is if it smells funky that’s honestly probably just the natural Odor cuz i guess they add eucalyptus and shit to make it smell better and it ends up evaporating.

But i personally think that what you have is still good as long as it’s not exposed to extreme heat. But i remember from the video they had that it can even be frozen Once or twice just make sure it’s not frozen for long periods of time and bring it back to room temp and always make sure to shake it extra good. Even if it’s just been sitting shake it extra good the bone meal should look like a melted milkshake. I hope this helps but I’ll def look into it or when i email “the beard” next I’ll ask

Well folks upon further inspection deciding if i should water before or after today’s errands i discovered mites or some kinda pest so i hit them with the mercenary pesticide

I think my soil is contaminated from storage…time to tear the tent down bleach it bleach everything and the exhaust fan is going on for extra air circulation it was going to happen anyway but fuuuuuuuuuck gotta get new dirt

2 days since discovering mites been treating with mercenary once in the morning once at night in 2 days I’ll be ripping everything down bleaching the tent. Since in previous posts it was said mites have a three day life span not counting the day of discovery. i really wanna turn off the exhaust again to see my babies flourish. Love that i figured out the stunning of my seedlings was largely due to lack of humidity. And everyone here has told me that  lol

Last watering i gave some Dr.Root microbial rooting aid. I gave it to my plant last grow and transplant was a breeze…also probably because i transplanted early so i had about a half inch of soil around the edge doing minimal damage to the root system

Anyway! I’m kinda hoping my plants can hold in the cups till i can get some plastic pots i know they’re only like cents or a dollar and some change but …I’ve only put in 25 hours in 2 weeks due to soft tissue damage in my ankle and apparently it was infected. Idk how lol but after a round of antibiotics steroids and some painkillers i was good till i fucked it up again. The nurse and doctor both looked at it gave a face and said “how are you walking on this” in my head I’m like lots of CBD, edibles and some ibuprofen. And with every step my eyes watered. But I’m better lol still in pain but whatever i gotta tough it out wish me luck.
