Jinglepot Showcasing the Mars Hydro FC-4800

Holy crap! You don’t mess around. My PPM rarely goes over 750 PPM. And NEVER over 1000 PPM.
I’m always afraid I will burn my girls. Usually I feed until I get just the smallest bit of tip burn. Like about 1/16 of an inch. That’s usually around 700 PPM in my experience. I’m using the Fox Farms Trio as my main feed. That may make a difference.
I may try to increase my feeding regimen, and see if I can do it without burning my plants up.

Good stuff in this thread my friend.

I found fox farms burnt my tips at a far lower ppm. I only used their lineup once. I bet I could push this a couple hundred more ppm. I don’t have 1 single burnt tip at 1120ppm on these Green Cracks.

I’ll tell ya, feeding with Blackstrap Molasses keeps me on my toes.

So I mixed my solution and ph’d it to 6.4 (this seems par for the course every time I use it, lol. The results are awesome though, I love the stuff, even if it causes ph instability) I always mix my solution at least a day, sometimes up to 3 days early. I was using a 12 gallon bucket before, but have upped my reservoir size to 50 gallons.

The next day I check for ph before watering the girls, good thing too, it was at 5.5. It took 60ml of ph up to get it to 6.3ph. All good, watered the girls… they loved it!

Today I come out to water again (I water less and more often when im home, if I give them a good drenching I can get 2.5 days between waterings) so I check the PH and whoa! 7.5! Lol… it took 120ml! 1-2-0! To get it back down to 6.3 again

Would you just look at that brew! Yummmmm :yum:

I’ll check again in a couple days, going skiing, ill be back to check on Wednesday evening :call_me_hand:

I have always been told it is not good to use ph down, then ph up, then ph down again in the same batch of nutes.

Yeah the FC-6500 i’m running is INSANE. I’ve always been a fond supporter of Mars Hydro but seriously these bar-style fixtures they are pumping out are seriously next level!

LOVING your HPS room @Jinglepot !!

I have a 1000w HPS and a 400 MH in storage and every time I see your garden I makes me think about pulling them back out… but I won’t cause I can’t afford the extra electric bill  :+1:

Have fun with gravity!!! :ski:

Thanks! I’ll up the surgars and cut out nitrogen in about a week… should start putting on some good weight soon. The Mars Hydro plants are already getting sticky whereas there’s aren’t yet, the Mars plants also have bigger buds, so far, and tighter node spacing too

I think that’s just a tad more than “for personal use” there Jingles.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
Hehe.
Frickin’ awesome garden bro.

My “personal use” includes my Dad and Bro who pretty much smoke for free, lmao. I do recruit them for water and trim duties when the time calls for it :laughing:

An addition to the Mars HyHydro Tent. A Dehumidifier! My large room doesnt need it at all staying between 45 and 55 RH in there and my mars hydro tent is never below 55 RH and there is always condensation in the walls. This should solve that and at the half way point(ish), 4.5 weeks, its a perfect tune to dry the air out a little bit!

Happy plants = beautiful flowers :bouquet:
