Well, here’s one I didn’t see coming. I don’t know if it was the hard dryback maybe it was… who knows the result is still evident. Grape Space Ripper has full on hermed. We are about week 6 and if it were just one or two or maybe if they were waaay down at the bottom I’d fight it, but no, all up in the buds 3-4 per cluster, and I’m too close to harvest to try to use something.
Cue it up maestro, Another one bites the dust! UHG!

Y’all are right it sucks. I do have a clone of her but I think that just means I have another empty pot. Don’t want to put all that back into her just to hit repeat. It’s OK I’ve got Ice Pie coming ready around 4-20 and I’ve got more girls i can throw into flower it may be a little I to their "veg"time but I think it’ll be fine. Lemongrass and the other Pura Vida are looking like they want the chance to show off what they got! I’d rather look at it like an opportunity within a loss so not all sad. Also, I’ve had to learn to accept such things. I haven had a true harvest since September but I think the bugs are either dead or finding elsewhere to be. So we keep up the treatments Buggies non-grata, I’m treating the yard with Bifen (another reason I grow indoors) no bugs! And we’ll get back to the dank!

Is not all bad news, all 20 of the cuts i set only have a couple droopy leaves between them all there will be up potting for 4 girls, one or two will end up in the flower tent a little early but they’ve vegged out nicely. Ice Pie is still looking good for harvest in a couple weeks. I’m wondering if Switch may help the herming. I still have her clone so maybe we try.

Everything but the autos got cleared out of the “Auto and Active Veg” tent and moved into the “Flower” tent. They will are Lemongrass, Loud Love, Pura Vida, and Sweet and Sour Cindy. They joined Ice Pie and another Pura Vida

I’m going to try to get some pics tonight but I broke the glass on my camera a few weeks ago and i think i may have gotten some dust in it so they may be crap by I’m going to try. It’s been too long for an update.

There’ll be more but I’m focusing on two specific little babies. One is my triploid Australian Bastard. The other is a mutation i haven’t seen before. Her edges are curled. Kinda like a holly leaf. She may still grow out of it but it is odd and I feel, noteworthy.

So I have found a down side to trying to run a perpetual grow. No time off. There is almost no time when something doesn’t need done. Then, when you get a girl to harvest and can smoke her, you can’t just ride the clouds. You still gotta get back there.
Well, I didn’t, and the girls are mad. So between a long week at work, life, and some good weed my girls are feeling neglected, with good reason. So I gotta try to make it up to them, maybe some nice kelp.
Off to an early day in the forest. I’ll try to remember pics.

I know how you feel. Its crazy around here trying to keep up. It will get better when I get some outside. Then I’ll be busy watering and feeding them too.
Perpetual growing is a challenge, I chopped some and added one into the flower closet. This ice pie is a beast compared to the one I took down.

She can get big when cared for better than I have this round. I’m pretty sure mine could have gone another couple weeks but honestly I was desperate for a win. She still ticks all my boxes except for nug size. I only pulled 1 quart and 1 pint, but I had some issues this round (big shock). My wife says i get stuck in a self sabotaging loop. I’m so worried about something going wrong that I distract myself to the point OF something going wrong, then panic and get depressed because I did something wrong again, and start worrying about something going wrong again. Repeat cycle.
I don’t know how to break it. She’s trying to help me with it.

Every two weeks I go and do something like bump up the EC. Other than that, I water and let them grow. Too much love can be a killer!

Well this just turned into a suck ass birthday week. My wife is having more medical issues and I can’t get the time off to be there with her, (on my birthday no less) and I don’t even get the holiday weekend. DAMNIT!
Ok, venting over. Got to go to the salt flats to dig for selenite Crystals, found some but nothing particularly impressive.
In the 5x5, Pura Vida and Loud Love are racing each other to the finish. Pura Vida 2 is just plugging along although the seeded branches are swelling, 2 and a half weeks, ish, and Shishkavida should be… born? And Rando, and Sweet and Sour Cindy are just hitting bud set.
Onto the 4x4, all 3 of my Vanilla Latté autos from Humboldt, went, weird. 2 flat out died, don’t know why and the 3rd while still living, doesn’t look right. So, I threw her ass outside, maybe she’ll like that better. The 2 Rainbow Kush autos are doing fine, one is a bit leggy (I topped this one) And the other is more traditional with the apical cola, The photos have hit bud set and are just finishing up their stretch. Howard the Duck might need to be tied down about a bit. Ice Cream Cake I’m letting just go wild. She’s been cut back, dried out and starved and she is coming back just as strong as she ever was. And the AKBB Blueberry Muffin x Vintage Blueberry is about ready for her Brazilian.
Holy Crap then there is the Littles tent. My Clone game is kinda shaky right now. Usually I have 0 issues slapping cuts into the cloner and boom, roots, usually by day 10. I’ve had some recently that just would not root and I’ve had problems rooting since. I’ve cleaned it out, sterilized it, and still results are lacking. But we keep trying! I’ve got 3 Ice Pie, 4 Lemongrass, and 1 BMxVB in there right now with more ice pie cuts waiting for the next clean out. So much going on in the Littles tent. Ice Pie, Buddha’s Cane, Ice Cream Cake, and 2 of Dr Blaze’s “Mac 1” are in a holding pattern till room opens up. I’ve got 1 MAC1 x Grape Stomper that still hasn’t shown boy or girl, 3 Kush Mintz x Grape Stomper(2 girls 1 unknown) and then there is the LPC cross Challenge. And my little Aussie Bastards, 4 of them, I think one’s a boy. Almost forgot about the 2 HTD clones and the 2 Loud Love reveg, they’re doing good. I think that’s all?? This is all from memory so I may have missed something. Oh! My little Holly leaf mutant MAC1 x Grape Stomper, she’s being slow but that could be her getting overshadowed, she’s short.

Make sure your cloning environment is good. I go for 18-20C water temps and 22C air temps, when I’m cloning.

Sounds great, if I had that kind of control. My room is on house A/C and my wife is always cold. Always, not just the usual, oh she’s just cold, my wife has dropped my core temperature by tucking her hands under my arms. So it’s almost never that cool. Should I ever acutely get environmental controls I’ll follow your advise but for now it’s whatever I can do.
It happened again. In the spirit of honesty i feel i must report my failings along with my successes. Integrity, self-flagulation, call it what you will, I hope by recording it I can avoid it in the future. It seems to happen every few months, I start shutting down and lose focus on a lot in my life and become a worker drone. So bad that when the day is done, I’m spent. Then the engine craps out on my work truck, and the transmission is still screwed up on my back up rig. And the Grow still needs 3-4 hours… Maybe changing the lighting schedule will help. But I end up depressed and locked and the girls suffer for it. I haven’t lost my Queens and actually just got one to add to the cannot lose list so I’m downsizing to focus on the known keepers. I’ll be breaking down my 4x4 going back to 1 flower tent, for me right now is just overwhelming what I’ve gotten myself into. So time to clear those i failed and start mostly fresh. I’ll have more details after it’s done. Second thought make the 4x4 the “Littles” tent and breakdown the 3x4 less work.
For the one waiting on my cuts they’ll be headed out Monday.

Sux, man. But, you know? Sometimes going back to square one is a blessing. I have honestly been thinking about going to one 4x4 and the little 2x4. Stop doing outside, and focus on a few cultivars. Run from seed only and do away with moms.

Sometimes you’ve got to focus on the most important main priorities and shed some of the expendable excess. A downsize and reset isn’t a bad thing. Get your main priorities figured out.
There’ll always be cuts and beans on OG and with your local peeps.

That’s the conclusion I came to. I’m still in it, quit and I don’t much get along but in trying too much, I’m hurting, my girls, my confidence as a grower, and my stash. So letting a few things go and pushing some projects back. To get the good girls to harvest a few times. Still in the LPC challenge just not going to put out anything winning I’m sure.
