Joheim's ongrowing madness

Well, that project just took a shit! No thankfully not the Blue Raspberry Truffle, they’re doing fine.
For the last, I don’t know, 6 months? I’ve been working with this MAC1 x Grape Stomper and for one reason or another its never been the right time to put it into flower. I finally got it’s cuts to root a couple weeks ago and plopped them into solo cups. Well they got pushed to the back of the tent to get their roots established. Then once that happened and I had a viable replacement I’d flower out the donor. Well, somehow, even on the 18/6 lighting schedule they were on the little clones started flowering. And what do I find?

BALLS!
I’ve been on the thinking it was odd that there really weren’t any pre flowers that I noticed that looked male but there is no denying :point_up_2:that! So off to the fire pit. DAMNIT. Ok time to pay more attention to the others.

The good thing is there were no intersex signs, he was just a solid, if very sneaky, dude.

And into the forest

I ordered new pucks for the cloner and I am breaking out the bleach for cleaning this round. Maybe I’ll finally get things to root again.

Although I have run into a new situation, a while back, my dude @Maddawg sent me some cuts back from my prized Mother and their not doing well. The first cut just up and died and I’ve been trying with the remaining one. And while I have new growth, still no roots. I’m hoping she takes and i don’t have to bug you again. I did get Sunday Driver to root using my old 2 site bubble cloner.

I’m down to 9 ShishkaVida still kicking from the germ test. This is the second one to just Peter out.
And the one Erdbeer is happily doing her thing. Once I get the new pucks for the cloner hopefully this will resolve my cloning issue.

One of the IP cuts I got has rooted. In another couple of weeks, I can get you some cuts off of it.

No worries!

I got you…

I have chopped the heck out of the IP Mom but always leave a little growth on her in the unlikely event the clones don’t root.

Now, I have a bunch of clones of her and the mom looks like she has a plethora of clones I can take.

I will send some more IP your way.

I’ll PM ya when they are on the way. :call_me_hand:

I’ll still work with them!
But I had a nice surprise when I looked in my little bubble cloner this evening

My little stub of a stem that I saved when the rest of it slimed away has rooted! She got planted today straight into a 1 gal and a rhizotonic hit to boot!

C’mon baby grow! Papa needs his Ice Pie back!

So the present Blue Raspberry Truffle seed run is on hold till I can clone out a couple little ones and get a Beautiful harvest. As such I have nothing in flower! I’ve been trying to clone out my Loud Loves from Jinxproof with no success. So, I’ll just hit a branch from both of them and let them just do their thing. Today will be their first day at 12&12 so treatment will probably start on Thanksgiving.

Don’t know that you’ll ever see it here, but thanks for the beans Merry Jack!

Please forgive the ravings that are bound to come in the future. I try to control myself when it comes to each new run but honestly it’s become a personal joke.
My viability test of ShishkaVida has produced 9 beautiful little seedlings that are begging to be uppotted but I need them to show sex first.
With them i popped an “Erdbeer” again she needs to show me what she is to get a new pot. So those are hanging on one side of the tent. The MAC1 is lounging in the corner and the 2 Loud Love are a week past the flip and will be looking at STS treatments soon. Should be able to get them past pollination about the time I’m ready for my other seed run to start flowering.
THEN I also started my next auto run so time tables may be adjusted. No pics just yet but 15 babies have poked their heads up. So re thinking this as I only have two tents and I don’t want a reveg in the middle of a seed run I’m just going to keep trying to clone off the Loud Love and if I get them to take just let the moms go. Don’t know we’ll have to wait and see!!

Ok quick update! Not much exciting happening with any of them but there were a couple new arrivals! I just got a second Sunday Driver and (sigh) Ice Pie  rooted out and ready to get their veg on!

Still working through what I’m keeping of the ShishkaVida and the autos have been thinned as well. Also threw in a small experiment that may fail horribly. While clearing out the Grow bags from my last run I noticed a good portion of the lower half of the bag looked untouched by the roots. Maybe there were a bunch of fine root hairs but it didn’t look like it. So I threw 2 of each of my autos in a grow bag together. There is about 6 gallons of media per bag and we’ll see how they do.

On a very happy note, I was able to get a decent pic of my baby! Happy and healthy!

Looking good Jo, we’re you to break it up first before putting the autos in?
I just chopped 4 males and have the leftovers I’m gonna reuse. But I guess u gave to take all the roots out

Hey man. I just started reading from the beginning. That is really cool that you won those grow lights. It must have been fate. God was telling you to be “fruitfull and multiply “ :deciduous_tree:

Yeah something decided I needed to be growing, and who am I to argue with the Fates. I’ve never really been one to complain when I don’t win something. And if I really want it all I have to do is save up, but no, I would have never bought these lights for myself too many things could use the 2500 I would have spent. (My wife would have had a coronary)
Nice to see you over here too, much busier than the FC, but good people mostly.

Yeah I break it down completely. I don’t remove “all” roots, but I do remove as much of the heavier roots that I can, but if I miss a few its no biggie. Pre-estsblished mychorrizae colonies right there in your medium. I use enough microbes, my coco could almost be considered soil, almost.
