‘Trim jail’ is so relaxing lol I zone and and roll with it. We got a good bit done today, but still have 2-3 days ahead of us…
the wife an me just sit here, working away while we BS and listen to music.

I’ve got 2-2TB external hard-drives with all sorts of stuff, movies and music saved lol I just hit ‘random’ for it to go through over 10,000 albums/songs. Which I have in one folder on the HDs lol

I know how. I just prefer the rich sound of vinyl records. I have some that I have collected since the early 70’s that are still nearly perfect. And I still listen to them almost every day.

why not have both? love vinyl but there are some things i cant get on vinyl. having a tb full of amazing music on shuffle is such a joy

Right outta college I owned a company making DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). Couple of computer wizs who really knew the software setup creating recording studios in a box. You might get a chuckle outta this but there were effects plugins we could get (we used Cakewalk back then, its now known as Sonar), and the plugins were designed to replicate everything we wanted to get away from when building a DAW. You want the snaps and crackles of dust in the grooves of an old record? Gotcha. You want the wow and flutter of a cassette, we could add that. Miss that great sounding tape “hiss”?? Gotcha covered. Odd as it is, the initial complaint about digital was it was TOO clean (mind you, I kinda think that was the goal??) And these effects could give a new recording an old sound.
