Some good news on the harvest, such as it is, after all the storm damage and then having to cut a lot of them a couple weeks early. There ARE seeds from the Frankenstein that survived, and another is still to go. But that one is in the BR finishing up.

So, there will be a few to share!
Almost all are fully mature seeds, with nice markings. After I’ve let them dry for awhile, I’m hoping to have enough to shoot some out into the OGniverse!

lol and so far, it looks like my ‘hopes’ will become reality! That’s just the first ‘gleaning’

Very cool. what DAW did you make? I had Cakewalk in the late 90’s and know exactly the plug in’s you’re talking about. amazing how far things have advanced since then.

Studiobox DAWs… Cakewalk was solid, and reputable, legit upgrades, no upgrade ripoff charges, ya got what you paid for and they reinvested and kept making an even better product. Was one of the first pieces of software I paid for, and I paid for the upgrades for, because I knew they werent a software giant, and I knew they had a history of adding LOTS of capability, starting with 2 tracks and bouncing to 1, up to the current monster systems with racks of effects done digitally.

Latency? big issue then, not so much now. Hardware that played nice together? LOL THATS where we made $$, knowing how to build that killer system that was stable…

It really is amazing how far its come, digitial music wasnt even around yet, napster was barely starting, and people still bought CDs … LOL…

Always good to see that happen… Those do look nice and dark with some good markings

The cross is Frankenstein mother with PPP pollen, so even though the plants grown from these seeds aren’t ‘pure’ Frankenstein. They will be Frankenstein dominate traits, and they’re as close as it’s going to get to ‘pure’ for awhile lol and with PPP influence…c’mon lol what’s not to like about it!

I get it. But look at the some wave from digital vs analog recordings. Digital will be the typical blocky looking sine wave, where’s an analog signal will be really smooth curvy sine wave. It makes a difference. I think vinyl record albums are by far the best sounding method. Cracks and pops are usually dirt. Unless it’s a true scratch, those can be fixed. My records all sound as good, nearly, as they did the day they were new.

My pop was a true record-phile or whatever term you wanna use lol His collection of old records was awesome! He had a crank Victrola with the only volume being a big ‘horn’ . He also had a spindle record player with 100 tube records, (Thomas Edison singing Suwanee River was one) only volume was the 2 doors on the front
His fav was a big old stereo…But he said if you are really into records, only use the needle one time then toss it.

lol I’ll just take my stored digital music and be happy!

I’m stoned damn it all lol I had to edit that post to what I meant to say…

Oh trust me, I’ve been on the ride from the beginning… Digital is 1’s and 0’s… andlog is analog. Same theory applies to photography. Film vs digital. Resolution on both has gotten much better, but theres warmth to 2" reel to reel… natural warmth, that has to be added back via a filter in digital. I can say I know the difference, worked on all formats. I’m not about to fire up the old 45’s my dad had or the 33 1/3 s (he loved Garand record players), or do much with the edison rolls found in the garage, but I can appreciate all the methods… I almost brought home LES PAULS reel to reel recorders at one time  (they were too big and my parents said no :frowning: )

Well hell cuz…what else am I supposed to do? Lay in the bed tossing and turning and waking the wife up? Or come out into the living room and bang on these keys with this noisyass old computer? Then we both have a miserable night/day…
The Bedroom is right off the living room with my desk directly opposite the BR lol light and noise go right in her face, almost.
