Johnnypotseed’s 3-ring circus - with autos, photos & sex…reversals, that is! (Part 1)

All i’ve gave any of the new seedlings after they went into the bigger pots was this;

the budding plants got this also,

the bottles of minerals I buy at Wally World and mix my own micro-nutes as the plants show a specific need to me. I just use occasoinally, cheaper and better since I can mix the strenght I want, rather than going with the generic micronutes like from GH, which I do use for the majority of plants in my grows.

Where did you get such a “Fuck-off” sized bottle of Superthrive?!

lol they come even larger. That’s just the pint size, and you can get it or larger on Amazon.

edit… @Pigeonman , I always buy the pint or quart size since I use it so much. There’s a little savings in buying the larger sizes…

edit… $10 diff in just the small 4oz bottle and the 16oz 1 pint bottle…

I use Superthrive also for seedlings and clones. I hear a lot of crap talked about it though :joy: I just saw Organic Superthrive today. :v:

I have always wondered about superthrive. It’s full of a lot of vitamins. How do you mix it? When do you use it?

Yeah…I started using it in the late eighties. :joy: I love it also.

So do you use this at each watering? Full trength? In addition to regular nutrients?
Honestly, The first time I saw it just the name kinda riminded me of ‘snake oil’ and never used it. Guess I always thiught it was scammish.

I’ve started 1x a week (as @JohnnyPotseed suggested) and so far the result is HOLY CRAP!!! level of growth.

Really?!?

I used it when I was on OG 1.0. I also did a lot of research when I got back into growing, and most of the chatter was that it’s snake oil. Therefore, I had ignored any talk I’ve seen about, until now.

Interesting.

@JohnnyPotseed sorry cuz, had to hear a side by side

Here’s July 4th:

Here’s July 15th:

The Kosher Kush is starting it’s stretch; but never seen it Icarus before like this until I started dosing it with Superthrive! This is also reused Promix BX with no amendment or tilling. The plant was taking FOREVER to take off which is the reason I started throwing ST at it but now i’m throwing it all of them

(it’s also LST’d, and after using ST the branches pulled all the anchoring staples out of the media by itself!)

So do you continue normal nutes, as well?
Right now, I water every 2 days on average. I do alternating days of plain water and nutrients. Are we saying that I could use the Superthrive once a month in one of the water cycles and that would be good for the plants?

Yes. Same schdule. I make up 5 gallons of my Veg solution which is peaking at about 750-800ppm right now (ph 6.2-6.5) using dechlorinated/decloramined water. EVERY DAY, each plant gets 1L of solution. And if needed their root mass soaked with rainwater if the meter tells reads appropriately to do so.

When superthriving, I’m mixing 1/4tsp per gallon of water, and giving 1/2 gallon per plant with no watering of feedings for the next 24 hours. Based on what I’m seeing i’m sticking to this until flushing weeks… so sometime-in sept.

But really this is your first grow using Superthrive, correct? Just wondering about the end result. It certainly looks like your plants love your treatment.

no prob cuz, I thought it was ‘snake oil’ in the '50s when I used to see it on the back cover of comic books, etc lol but in Cali in the 70s I got turned onto it by a buddy that grew monster bushes… I ain’t looked back since!

lol that’s a bit more than I use it but hey if it works out ok go for it…just don’t forget the warning on the label…too much isn’t good

edit… I think I misread your post there @Pigeonman, sorry for that. Once a week is all it needs, @BigMike55

N/P! I recall the warnings and only see you looking out for me.

On another topic, the Spider Mites… after a long hard fight, it’s looking like we got them f’ers under control! (knock on wood!) No webbing or spotting on leaves, etc. I’m sure they’re still some around hiding, but they’re on the losing end of this too long fight,! I hope anyways… :sunglasses: :+1:
