Johnny's retreat and up coming grow logs

What kinda set up you got going on bud? They look heat stress and nute burned off the rip. What kind of light and how close? You should be able to flush a little. They just look like the stress is hurting your yield. You got it down though. Can’t be mad at free smoke. Damn frosty. Me likey. Have a good one.

burned! :fire:

excess nutes in the leaves literally raises the temperature some degrees.

Hey Baltimore and Canna, thanks for stopping by.

It’s definitely not heat related, mid 20’s ( Celsius ) and only started this after last water/feed, so I’ll put it down to nute burn/stress.

They are under 3 x 10 watt screw in LED’s and about an inch to inch and a half away from lights.

It’s all a learning curve isn’t it.

Update time 28/7/19
Not a lot to show, have harvested the Afghan’s as they never showed any signs of recovering.
The 2 Hurkle’s seem to be recovering nicely tho now at 5 weeks 12/12

That’s all that I’ve got growing at the moment, as I’m away on a 3 week holiday at the end of August and didn’t have anyway of looking after any plants whilst I’m away.
I’ll be starting fresh after my break

Any way, until next time

Weekly update again, not a lot to show from last week.
11/8/19 now 7 weeks old, some hairs are starting to colour

Since my little set back a few weeks ago, they have been on a water only diet.

Until next time

So I’ve finally have time to update, been away for work, sick with a stomach bug and now on holidays. I cut down the last 2 plants on the 29/8, just shy of 10 weeks. Should have taken them a week earlier, but had I, I wouldn’t be home for the drying period. I’m away for 2 weeks and am hoping that they won’t be to dry when I get home.
I did take some pics but they are pretty ordinary, but I’ll post them up any way

Until next time

Sorry to hear that; Normally I’d be an asshole & tease about that but I guess I’m getting older fast.

So I’m back from a 2 week holiday, nice to have a break from work and relax and sight see.

Now because I tend to be away a lot, work especially as well as the annual holidays, I’ve needed to come up with a better system to tackle the watering issues for my plants whilst I’m away. So I’ve spent some time on you tube and eventually came across this video, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=leSZg9uUwSU
Now, using this info, I thought about doing a much smaller system to suit my needs and thus I began an EXPERIMENT. I began about 4 weeks before I went on holidays and put it to the test the 2 weeks I was away. And guess what it worked.

The system that I’ve now tried with plants now at 46 days after planting. They are 2 of @Mr.Sparkle The Fuzz’s autos.
At day 46

Ok now the system

It’s a container which fits into my cabs nicely, bought from the local dollar shop. 3 holes drilled into lid to suit the ‘pots’. The photo shows the reserve water bottle which tops up the main water resivour. This allowed me 2 weeks of holiday away and plants survived nicely.
The reserve water bottle has holes in the bottom and automatically releases water as the level drops.

The pots are 500ml milk bottles with the bottoms cut of, and the tops/necks covered in ‘fabric’

These are basically a Sub Irrigated Planter or SUP set up. They can also be set up into smaller containers so that I can fit more into my cabs when I’m home, but these require water maintanence every few days.

This grow from the start of the experiment.
The 2 The Fuzz at 11 days from seed.

19 days from seed.

23 days, I had to start Lst’ing them to keep the height down.

And 30 days, the day before my 2 week holiday.

And today at 46 days.

Now these could be better but I’ve purposely had these on the LITFA system since the start to see what this system could do. They’ve had water only up to this point with no feeds whatsoever.
I’ll be starting some new seeds some time this week and fine tune this new system and see what it can produce in my little cabs with a little more TLC.

Until next time

Ok update Time again, got a bit lazy the past week or so.

So first up, I had to harvest 1 of the plants about a week ago as I noticed that the stems were showing signs of die back. Guess that one didn’t like the 2 weeks on there own and maybe went a little too long with out water!!

At day 51

Buds have been drying and now jarred so I’ll see how they are next week, fingers crossed.

And a shot of the roots

And the other one was tacked down this morning at day 60

I’ll take a look at the roots in a couple of days time. So far the roots seem to be better established with this system than I normally get with the other way.

The next run which I’ll be starting in the next couple of days will likely be some dark sparks autos and I’m thinking of doing reversals with colonial silver to make some more auto seeds as I’m really liking these autos, thanks again @Mr.Sparkle

Until next time

Ok update Time again, 6/10/19

On thé 4/10 i had 3 out of 3 sprout of the dark sparks

So the plan is to give them a week or 2 to grow and then start reversal with colonial silver. In another 2 weeks I’ll start some more and dust these with the pollen, all going to plan.

On another note, the root porn from the last one harvested

Until next time

The 3 dark sparks now at 9 days old

Now from left to right # 1

And the height so far

I’ve also gathered up my collodial silver gear ready for later next week.

The distilled water is still in the back of the cupboard. I plan on spraying all three and try and produce some fem pollen.
I’ll soak some more dark spark seeds early next week and try to produce some more fem auto’s seeds.

Tends to be drinking more water than the other 2

So I started the spraying with colloidal silver this morning after firing up the ‘Generator’ last night. I won’t be using number 2 as a pollen supplier as it has shown the crinkle leaf trait that @Mr.Sparkle has mentioned before and don’t want to pass it on. So numbers 1 & 3 are getting sprayed.

I’ll just let number 2 grow out for bud.

Some time next week I’ll get some more Dark Spark seeds going in readiness to receive some pollen if all works out. Fingers crossed !!

Until next time

So as can be seen, about 120mm or about 4 inches tall. Number 2 I’ve had to tie down a bit as it took off a bit quicker than the other 2

I’ve been spraying with colloidal silver for the past 7days now and 2 days after starting, day 18, they started full on flowering.
A close up showing bud development, but off coarse no balls yet.

Fingers crossed they will develop in time. I’m going to wait 1 more week before starting some more seeds just in case of late development with the reversal process.

Otherwise I think everything is looking good.

Mid week update 31/10/19

Dropped 3 more Dark Sparks seeds into water this morning, got home this evening and there still floating. A quick push under and they went to the bottom.
Into the paper towel and baggie and keep an eye on them.Prepared 3 more ‘pots’ with soil in readiness.

Been spraying colloidal silver now for 11 days now, twice a day, eyes could be deceiving me but with a close inspection with a strong magnifying glass, there looks to be different ‘growth’ happening in the buds. Fingers crossed.

Also of a note, the 2 I’m spraying seem to have quite a shorter flowers compared to the 1 I’m note spraying. Maybe just a coincidence ??

Starting off with the new seeds. Soaked in water for 12 hours, then into paper towels for 36 hours and we now have this.

Popped into their pots and capped with a humidity dome. Now we wait.

Next up the group shot.

Numbers 1 & 3 are still being sprayed with the colloidal silver which is day 13 now I think. Just waiting on some balls to start forming.

So I’ve been spraying plant numbers 1 & 3 with colloidal silver now for 3 weeks and still no signs of reversing. Can only put it down to the solution isn’t strong enough. I’ll continue for another week just to be sure.

Either way I will finish flowering out just to see the results of the new pot/containers I’m using.

Numbers 5 & 6 the leaves are a little deformed, my doing I think, as I let the top of the pot dry a little while they were establishing.
