Oh that’s cool I’ll have to check that out. I’m very excited they are supposed to be vigorous beasts! Hopefully I do them justice.

I’ve been complaining about space for a bit, so I decided the 3 apes in space clones weren’t needed. They weren’t my favorite… Off to the fire they go

New washing machine arrives today, I’ll get some new hose this afternoon and it looks like it’ll be making hash tonight.

Lol no not a full size one yet. Just a mini one. But now that it’s in my hands I may get a second one. I’ll try this one tonight hopefully. Just got back from the hardware store to change out the hose.

Also printed a new Raspberry Pi case, on longer prints I get overheating warnings so printed this and it holds a nice 40mm noctua fan. Once the new jumpers arrive I’ll get it wired up.

For anyone else looking to do this you need 3/4 ID hose, I used spa hose, I think.

4 screws on the bottom and 2 on the back will take the bottom off and keep the access door open when you put it back together, you need this off to get the drive belt back on.

Cut the hose off and slip over the new hose. The stock hose is cheap and thin so you can definitely feel where the barb ends, cut there.

Slip on the hose and worm clamp.

Feed the new hose through the bottom., it’s tight but fits fine.

Through the access door use a pry tool (no sharp edges) and spin the small drive pulley and the belt will go back on. Close the back access panel.

Cut the hose where ever and add your choice of valve. This is all the hardware store had, so that what’s being used.

I’m hoping the test tonight.

Big takeaways, you need 3/4 ID hose.

Checking the weighted blankets over, looks like we have a male that will die by fire. It’s sticker fell off so not sure which one it is exactly.

The cuts from @Crafty_Flame are starting to perk up more. They need humidity domes because they were massive, think large Fiji water bottle size!

Well it’s not last night, and I had to repair some leaking hoses… But here we are! It is a beautiful 23 degrees outside where it is running.

So far I’m digging this. Drain into bags then onto the ground.

Hm, let’s see what the second wash later brings and then my outdoor harvest. Ease of use 10. Quality of product, remains to be seen. The picture doesn’t do it justice, it is much lighter than what I’m used to getting. So that’s nice.

So help me perfect my process. I use a big spoon to scoop the hash out of the bags and then lay it out of wax or parchment paper to dry. Then I jar. Is there something else I could be doing for better quality end product?

Last run , we dried it for 3weeks with air movement. I’ve had it mold before and I try to be certain it’s completely dry. I make temple balls for storage using parchment paper and a ceramic top stove. Heat eye til warm with hash in paper, flip over press together roll on warm eye. It gets workable by hand palm rolling it and folding. Finally roll a nice ball.
