JustANobody's Neck Beard Basement Grow

@JAWS I just tried a small bud from the FP OG #1, I think it’s dry cereal. Someone a couple people confirmed that the papers I’m using Rob flavor, my bong also confirmed this.

Coco seems super neat, you planing on reusing the coco or make fresh batches?

I don’t think I’m going to use the blumats though. I’ll get a couple of irrigation rings and a timer.

Coco loves constant feed! Coco is hydro but a little slower. The main thing to look out for is root saturation, meaning you have to wait for the root mass to saturate the area before constant feed. Overwatering is really only possible after transplant into a larger pot, coco allows for a ton of oxygen but needs dry backs to take full advantage of the root environment! Look up FloraFlex’s schedule for coco, they give a basic but amazing layout of how to treat your plants in coco and exactly how to use drybacks and when. Stoked for this one! :nerd_face::call_me_hand:t2:

I have a buddy who has been running canna coco and canna nutrients for years. He gets really really solid results. I think you’ll enjoy it. Excited for you and excited to see what happens

Don’t put too much pressure on me, I’m sure I’m going to screw this up.

Remo is also worth a look for coco nutes. Not the cheapest but the best results I ever got and his stuff is so clean I didn’t worry about run off or salt build up much. I would only bother with watering to run off maybe once a week. Dealing with run off is a big part of coco and salts so that was a plus for me.

Oh that’s why I’m here. To learn from mistakes I don’t have to make :wink:

@Loggershands gives good advice.

Blockberry and Halle Berry are already pointed back up and happy. They were actually pointed up even before lights on last night.

It’s amazing how fast they recover, I defoliated heavily and bent branches over just plain abused them and couple hours later all perked back up. Within a week they were twice as thick with leaves , time to strip them down again. Lol

I personally prefer just straight dehydrated canna coco coir it’s the best bang for your buck IMO. I start in solo cups and go to 5 gal rain science bags and when they want watered daily I switch to autopots and then it’s automated for flower. My goals are always automation before flower but sometimes I’ll be hand watering a week or 2 into flower still. Jacks 321 has been the easiest nutes for me to use and others to comprehend in case I have to leave notes for anyone helping me. Not to mention the money I saved over using canna a&b is massive. Bounced from fox farms, house and garden, canna, and now jacks 321 and its my favorite so far. Seriously tho the money saved vs bottle nutes is amazing. I bought a 25lb bag of part a and part b 1.5 years ago and finally down to the last bit. Before I was spending a couple hundreds every 6 months on 1 gal of nutes at a time because you water so often in coco coir

On the nutes side of things I got a set of the earth juice sugar peak and I’m liking it so far very easy and only have one bottle to worry about.

Aside from Canna I’ve used NPK RAW’s All-in-One, Mega Crop, Jack’s and Floraflex. Mega Crop is garbage and Jack’s isn’t a whole lot better. I was on the Jack’s wagon until I started seeing metal flakes in my res and mixing buckets. Floraflex is about the same price when you take into account that they have veg and bloom formulas instead of everything coming from two bags. Plus it is super clean.

If I fail at this it’s all on you and @Crafty_Flame’s… I hope you’re ready for that.

@lusid Sounds like a bad experience IMO. But I’d love to hear your thoughts on why you don’t care for them and how long you’ve used them? Almost 2 years here and no issues or metal flakes. If this is made in a big facility it wouldn’t surprise me to see metal flakes if they are using augers to mix or break down different components for the part a and b
