Killer Glue (GG#4 x AK47) SCROG adventure

Well fuck out of frustration i dropped the feed to 1.4ec, added some iron supp and adjusted pH. Will probably chop next weekend. The flowers are fat and sticky and smelly so hopefully i havent done too much damage

Is there a problem with ak47? Ive run 1.8ec all the way through. They seemed to be absolutely loving life up until about week 7

Your comment that you don’t know AK47 makes me think you’re young … just that.

Im newish to growing. I know of the strain but have never grown it.

Took some pics this morning. The buds are still swelling heaps and stink. ill probably pull next weekend or over the course of following week (week 10)

I think next run I might try flushing every week after week 6 which is when the Top Shooter and Roots Excelurator go back in the feed. Maybe its just a PK buildup in my DTW

Looks like a mag def to me. High P will make it unavailable… lowering you’re ec will probably fix things. Fantastic job none the less!

I’ve also found out that nutrients in a medium does not affect final product. Test results show that more nutrients in a medium does not affect the amount it needs. Leaf analysis show a plant with more vs less nutrients did not affect the total found in the leaf. As growers we always overdo it. It’s easier to fix a def than a lock out or burn. Some might argue a flush is redundant due to this new finding, but there may be other factors that a flush does help with final product. Stress or forcing it to use it’s stored nutes before death maybe!? Either way, way to go again!

Well i figured if its a lockout then a flush might help reset things and a deficiency might be solved with the added stuff. Im no scientist but a P and K lockup from the late bloom booster halting magnesium or calcium isna real possibility in my DTW system that i flushed once at end wk 5 and not again since when the PK boost goes in wk 6 till finish so maybe regular flushing after Top Shooter will fix things next round

I think a flush would be good! I’ll stick around if I may and see how she goes!?

Ok boys and girls i think ive figured out what i did wrong and i feel like a fucking idiot.

The House & Garden Classic feed chart says to feed at 1.8 up til wk6 then 1.2 from wk6 onwards after Top Shooter goes in. What I did was keep EC at 1.8 all the way through (which the person who showed me how to grow told me to do initially with the strains he set me up with)

So what I’m gessing is this is just nute burn and lockout/deficiency as a result of too hot feed during late flower with PK bloom booster. So next run I’ll drop the EC to 1.2/840ppm at wk 6 and flush weekly and if that doesnt fix it I dunno what will.

Flowers are still fattening up like fuck and a couple of phenos look very close to done. #6 #2 and #4 probably are a week behind by the looks of them

But yeah, if you want monster yields of stinky flower then this is the strain for you. Hoping next time I get this dialled in nicely. These are all rock hard phenos, big heavy baseball sized flowers that are solid to the touch, covered in resin and very stinky. Overall the smell in the tent is very sweet perfume/chem smell with a hint of citrus. Smells like utter dank. If an idiot like me who fucked up like this can get flowers looking like this still even after my fuckups then in the right hands with someone who knows what they’re doing I’m sure the potential is great.

I think I’ll give this another run, find some keepers to give out to others to hang onto and then move I’m thinking either HSO Gorilla Breath or maybe Platinum Garlic or Garlic Breath. Something nasty. I’ve also taken a clone of #2 and #4 and will run those outside in the greenhouse as we’re just going into spring. #6 is starting to finish very nicely.

Day 62
KG#1 will come down tonight or tomorrow @f63. Showing about 30-40% ambers on the top flowers so maybe an early finisher.

#5 and #3 not long behind. #2 and #4 look to be a week off and #6 might goeven longer shes just started swelling again.

Harvested #2 today at f64. My favourite bud structure. Very deep sweet dark pungent floral scent coming off this one. Very frosty and great heavy rock hard bottle sized colas with fantastic hints of purple thru tbe calyxes. I really hope this one is the keeper because it’s got amazing looking flowers and structure.

Have harvested 3 out of 6 so far. Looking to be my hugest yield to date. Never grown buds this consistently big and solid before. Im stoked.

#4 was pulled last night initially flagged as a keeper but not as good bud structure as #2 . Maybe slightly frostier on the lowers but very larfy under main flowers.

#5 and #6 will come down tonight and tomorrow.

One of my Exotic Mr Nasty females turned hermaphrodite leaving me with 1 female. Reading a fair bit about Exotic herms it seems. It was my first herm.

Experience with Exotic has been largely disappointing so far. Don’t think I’ll ever grow their stuff again. Blackout Bobby was a wild disappointment, too. Low yields, nothing special about the weed.

If you wanna have some fun, I have mystery seeds from the 90’s.
All good, just a mystery what they are!
Mostly Indicas, cheeses and skunks. All we ever grew.

Thanks dude but i have more seeds than ill ever be able to grow. Heres my collection of “prized beans” not including my box of “meh” beans

I just setup another 1.2x2.2m tent in going to run 2x 630w LEDs and do 8-10 plant scrog pheno hunts thru these packs so i can keep running Killer Glue in my big tent. I think KG is gonna be a good cash crop while i play with lower yielding exotics
