Caught myself a bad case of growers leg yesterday going to check the Malanas. Prickers make great fences lol
I’ve got a question for everyone, and since this thread is home to me, I’ll ask it here. .the Kullu plants are showing light new growth, implying sulfur deficiency, but I’ve had a slight issue with calcium deficiency as well, on many others too. I’ve sprayed blossom end rot on them fairly recently, so it could be sunburn of some sort, but 2 days ago I had them indoors under an incandescent light all day, riding out the leftovers of hurricane Isaias(sp?). They were uppotted at least 3 weeks ago, and by now the roots should be hitting the floor of the container, where I placed a small handful of happy frog 4-9-3 with added calcium and microbes( in the fertilizer, not extra). Nothing I’ve done has been correcting the Calcium deficiency in the plants that have it. So at this point I’m suspecting a pH issue. What do you all think? And would it be safe to add some powdered Dolomite to the top of the containers?
First pic shows plant in question. Second pic shows calcium deficiency(and a spot of PM, which these plants are nearly immune to)on the large fan leaf. The lightened leaves seem to have happened quickly. Today is the first day I really noticed it being this bad. I’m not sure I noticed anything even 5 days ago…
If ur soil was built for indoors and wELL
Water the rain will be calcium ddeficientthe light new growth is from being indoors likely as no
The tashkenti are regulars, I tried the seed roll trick to try to see if I can separate feminine seeds…just on a whim. We will see if these three are girls
I grew a tashkenti male two year ago and have pollen. It should be viable, if it I will take your offer
I add 15-20 drops cal mag per gallon per watering. Plants are grown outdoors, and come in at night. I know a transplant would fix things, but my back is too bad off to lift that much weight. Yr probably right…could be from being indoors for 24 hrs with no light. That would explain the new growth being light on the whole plant, ( new shoots)not just on the top. Thanks for the help. Any other ideas, fire away…edit… I only use Rainwater
Sounds good. Many of the tashkurgan are very smelly. One stalk feels like sandpaper. I think I may have figured out the light shoots on that plant and one other plant. I ran out of rain water while watering those Kullu, so I used pond water on two of them. Completely forgot about it until 30 minutes ago . Must have been bad water. Stagnant with bad bacteria or bad ph.I’m going to flush the plants today, and I’ve started a tea to hit them with tomorrow to get the good microbes going again. If it’s not that or the lack of sunshine for the day, I’m at a loss as to what it is for now. Hopefully it’s fixed in a day or two.
Listen man, you guys don’t have chiggers up there. Until you’ve experienced those little bastards you don’t know what a nightmare a walk in the woods can be.
When I was a kid, we used to pick blackberries, and we’d have to bathe in bleach water to get 'em off. If I had a choice of getting chiggers or walking through the middle of a briar patch butt naked, you better bet I’d be stripping down right quick. I really hate those little fuckers.
Been there!! A lot of my family is from Arkansas and when we go up there it can be a nightmare. I’ve done the whole bleach bath and fingernail polish remedy lol
Lol, my mom used to tell us about chiggers as a kid and I used to think she was making them up.
Chiggers and briars do suck but walking through a patch of fire plants will be an expirence you will never forget.
No man, she wasn’t. They’re nasty little bastards. Warm moist areas are their favorite areas to hang out, so it can be very embarrassing to go out in public if you’ve encountered chiggers.
Alabama-born…Grandmother dunked our butts in cold-water bleached bath, applied calamine lotion…NOTE: NO hot baths OR showers!!! Be safe/be well.
@misterbee, when you were really small and played in the grassy lawn, remember the price you paid? Chiggers on your tiny balls. Want to talk about itchy. It’s hard to forget, lol.
Oh yea missouri haschigggers
Oklahoma has sandburs
I’m gonna make seeds too. Maybeweneed to swap sometime
Soon to be Famous, OG Elite, Triple Durban. She is liking a little bump of more P and K before starting to finish, still shooting fresh hairs and bulking to BIG spears…thanks for the seeds @lefthandseeds, hope this one makes the photos on Strainly…
@Instg8ter how long has that bud been flowering? Looks like a rocket. Ready for take off?
All this talk of Durban is bringing back memories of some of the best cannabis I’ve ever grown. Going to have to fix that.
