I sent you a dm the other day, not sure if you’ve emptied your inbox yet. Just regarding the Kandahar run…I’m pretty much ready to go…but no rush…I know you’re swamped.
@Tappy No, i hadn’t gotten to see it yet. I’ll prioritize sending those so you can get cracking😁. These will need a little scuffing and a peroxide soak before germination in case i forget to tell you. Sending shortly. Jan 25th is the full moon, so it’s perfect timing.
I agree…but my wife loves this…lol. She’s big into cycles and energy and all this.
I wonder if Kashmir is the secret ingredient in even more strains. It’s not the first place that comes to mind when someone mentions cannabis. Hell, there are “heads” who couldn’t even find it on a map.
Starting tomorrow, this Bhadra hits 17 weeks of Flowering.
Shaped in week 4 and just now hitting 90cm above dirt. She is still climbing @Budderton @iceman
Respect your patience growing this
Are you running lights below 12hrs a day?
We usually always grow trees. Im in an unfriendly state, so numbers matter somewhat. I start seeds in 32oz Uline Deli containers/Promix BX, and then transplant into 5 gallons Promix BX, and veg 45-60 days under 24/7, unless Im trying to slow them down.
I also Bend plants over, and make them grow like a hedge. All secondary growth, becomes as large, as the main shoot. You can also slow them down, by mucking with the growing tip. They are then transplanted into a 20 gallon container/Promix BX, vegged another week, just to get them acclimated, to the new amount of soil, and then they are flipped. I also like plants that stretch a lot, so they dont have to be vegged as long, or at all. We have a 2006 Willie Nelson mother, that stretches for 80 days after flip. 105 days finish time. Some strains dont like this bending though, and some have stiff stems, and will break like a pecil, if you try to bend them. In those cases, one must start bending the plant, as a young seedling, while the stem, is still pliable. Ive done a best of 26oz, out of a 2010 Barneys Farm G13 x Haze. Under 1000w Hortilux HPS, in a 4 x 4 area, using this method. Flowered 70 days.
Hello @iceman.
Yes I am below 12, and I have 3 autoflowers that are about to join the Tent this weekend, and grudgingly, its staying at 11/13.
Had planned 10.5, but that would be pushing it I think
Still looking for a home for the Squirrel Tail seedling… i may have to throw her into Flower end of next week (4) and find a home for it later lol
I’m done when Mom’s done
I’ve been looking for Willie Nelson beans for years…
Glad to see these again…
17th week of flower is coming to an end for Bhadra.
This week the plant ate its Fan Leaves, out of the blue, top to bottom; Like that big-breath b4 a deep dive. Uniformity of the colour change and instant crumble, made for easy plucking last nite. go figure
@Upstate has confirmed its a trigger as the plant enters the final third of the Bloom cycle
Thx again.
Still some yellow leaves finishing-up, no damage where I super-cropped the main-cola… straight ahead.
Buds are becoming more prominent within the Colas !
@MissinBissin The Gold never gets old. Looking just right for week 17. I bet she goes another 6 or even 8 weeks. I’ve topdressed heavy with castings for plants like this, and right around now is when I did it. Totally unnecessary and made zero difference. She’s going to drop some leaves no matter what. Typically growers worrying too much about N at this point add too much of it and get either curly leaves, hermies, a nasty harsh smoke or all three. Too much can cause new leaf growth. Looks like your plant is in the sweet zone, but I’d consider a flush to keep it that way. She’s got that look…pushed to the max for nutes I think, even if you’ve gone light. Good sign that it’s an old line. Nice work.
OK, Thats music to my Ears @Upstate
It will get thirsty first, officially, then I will give her a Flush … (3-4x pot size)
Your assessment helps me keep it between the lines Bro !
Thanks and a on this one !
Theres always something new
Anyone here tried the watermelon hp or done a production on them?
Hi @Newbiegrows . That is a nice looking plant. If you buy a magnifying glass (20x) you can see the resin heads. First they will be clear. Then they will turn cloudy. Lastly they will turn amber (brown). Most people harvest when they begin to turn amber.
Looking great! What line do you have there, what are the scents/aromas like?
Wait until I arrive to collect a sample, for science of course!
In serious question, how long has it been flowering? 3 - 4 months? the above comment regarding the resin quality/characteristics is a common metric used — some people wait for the leaves to start yellowing as indication of getting closer to harvest time, or alternatively not seeing any white pistils — if I had to guess maybe another 4-6 weeks? Another way to tell is if the new growth is slower than senescence, in other words if the plant starts to wilt/die off/over-ripen faster than it is producing new flower - may sound like an awkward way of looking at things but some lines just want to keep going
Looks like 4-8 more weeks to me depending on when it started making flowers/ where the bagseed is from etc. Welcome to OG!
@US3RNAM3 Also if I can get some tips for drying and curing process I can adopt for this landrace for a nice smoke.
@RoryBorealis received a nice package the other day. Thanks!
Excellent. I am happy to hear that it arrived with no problems.
