Let's See The Wild Animals In Your Yard

Turkey Vultures chillin’ next to the BBQ pit. I call them Heckle and Jeckle
(the two crows from Bugs Bunny).

Have you ever spent any time around billy goats? They piss on their own head with some regularity when a female is in estrus. Makes 'em sexy! xwi2Y3G

Funny you should ask. The neighbors goat used to knock on the back door.

I posted a very similar spider to yours last September. Mine was a bit larger, perhaps 5 inches across, but it’s interesting that we both found them on wood…

Most of the lake is still iced over, (yeah, I know…) so the few areas of open water tend to congregate the raptors and other assorted wildlife. This eagle comes in fishing every day. Haven’t seen any Osprey yet, I always enjoy watching them fish, the way they hover like a helicopter and then dive bomb into the water. Anyway, here’s my morning eagle

Eagles are my favorite bird to see in the wild. They’re not common in VA but I’ve seen a few. Great picture!
