LilJonB's Hopscotch Grow

I had read this before. It does make sense too. But, with the crosses being made now, the potency is so high in some purple strains I’d think you would have to have an extremely high THC resistance to tell the difference.
Oh and I just plain love to see those beautiful colors.
I have to wonder if using a lighting system that is higher on the red/blue spectrum would counter that effect?

No doubt on the potency, can still be really up there… its just… if it didn’t have to make all those secondary things then it could be even better lol but I like the colors myself too, especially for some of the unique flavors they can give

Well I think they’re saying the LED’s are already high or intense in the red/blue spectrums and that is why the plants are coloring up more under them as compared to hps or the sun or something else. So I’d think supplementing with a more balanced full spectrum light would help make up for it, or maybe cause it to happen less. Not too sure really.

It makes sense, we’ll the sense I got out of it. Lol.

After about half way through they began to bunbard you with a bunch of words that I didn’t quite follow igniting some frustration that turned into anxiety. Lol.
I am planning on re-vegging the purple pheno outside. Curious to see how well ot dose out there.

I just noticed from other people’s grows that a purple plants, expecally the really purple one either produced horribly and or had poor THC levels.
Just an observation.
I will try to grow a male Hopscotch with tighter internodle structure with thick stalk and stems for extra support. That’s the plan anyway.
Isn’t it true the the higher the F-gens become the more undesirable they become? Or would this be a back cross? My breeding knowledge is elementary at best.

F2’s are usually an outlier as they tend to show a wider spread of phenotypes but if selection is done correctly then the higher the fgen is, the more uniform the line is. Sometimes at the expense of vigor. If someone picked a different pheno for every fgen, then the line could still be all over the place and you may see less of a percentage of really good plants compared to previous generations.
