London pound cake og challenge

I worked on a dairy farm for awhile. Cows are stupid animals……. Got tired of using a skid steer to shovel crap and piss into the pits. Only to turn around and spread it onto the fields. Crappy job!

I grew up with horses. At least you got to use the skid steer. :expressionless:

And horses aren’t stupid so they were in your literal ass asking “whatcha doing” every 2 seconds. We had one that liked to untie shoes and snap elastic.

Stupid animals can be easier to deal with than smart ones. Goats are intelligent critters. They reason things out in their environment. And entertaining themselves can mean “what can I take apart today so I can watch that fool have to do some repairs tomorrow”, “I saw him open that gate enough times that I know it has something to do with this handle… FREEDOME!!!”… … etc.

Had a few horses in my life, they’re very intelligent animals. Love em!

Well, you know how I feel about horses. That was a huge part of my life. I miss it.

Mine too :green_heart:
Horses are a huge commitment and expense, so we don’t have any currently. Maybe someday I’ll have one again.

I keep thinking that I might get a smallish draft horse for pulling a wagon and dragging up some smaller logs. You never know when the tractor will be down (like now) or when the economy will tank and we can’t afford diesel to run the dang thing.

My sister had horses, I got to be around them a good part of my childhood. Learned to ride from my big sister, I could probably still saddle and ride if I had to. :racehorse:

@Greenfingers
I was raised going back and forth between military bases and living with the family back in Virginia and West Virginia. My uncles and cousins worked at logging. They used draft horses because it was very hard to get logs out with anything but that where they lived on the mountain. They also had riding horses and mules for hunting and working cattle. When we moved to a new base, I would check first thing if they kept a stable up for the families. Most did back then so that was sort of a constant in my life amidst all the moving. I never stayed in any one place for more than ~ 2 years at a time until I turned 15 when dad retired from the service.

My sister and her husband were trainers at Thistledown race track in the summer and Florida Downs in the winter. They even had a couple thoroughbred’s. Every year they would attend the Kentucky Derby. She loved her horses.

The derby is compete insanity! My wife has a friend that went every year. Loud dresses, big hats, huge distractions, the race is damned near second to all the bullshit

Without the mint juleps and big hats it’s just gambling.

So it turns out my AC was on fan mode for 2 days in the room my tent is in. You know the two days I’m talking about, the two highest temps so far this year? The plant is alive but she’s crispy :grimacing:

My London Pound Cake little girl has grown balls and inseminated herself. Officially the most abused plant I’ve ever grown and the most rebellious response to that abuse. I’d be bummed if it wasn’t so damn punk rock that it was one meant to place in a contest originally. Take that society!

YEAH! Screw 'em! Screw 'em all! Ever last one.

My girls are recovering from their near death haircut.

Sorry about the poor quality, between my shaking and an older phone, the pics aren’t the best.

Good. Better a near death haircut than bud rot!
