Lonely's Micro Garden

Here is a post with the mother of Chem Core. What an improvement of bud structure, bag appeal and trichome production. This Chem dad is such a stud, I’m glad I have my freezer full of his pollen.

Yeah, it’s a total harem in there! Over 20 different females with one male

I got some good news! I have moved all the plants from the Chem Core Project to my small tent to finish up in darkness. I know it’s total bro science, but I’ve done side by side tests and the plants in the dark produced a higher % of mature seeds

I moved and culled a lot of plants in the Chem D x GMO Project and I ended up with 25 plants, down from 36. I moved them to my flowering tent and going straight to 12/12. They are looking quite sad from being crammed in the small nursery, but they are going green up in 1-2 weeks.

The Purple Urkle Project is going really well, the male is DUMPING pollen and I’ll start to catch some.

So I’m going to make a trade post for Purple Urkle pollen for those who are interested.

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot… The M29 is back on track after the spa treatment. I guessed correct that she had nutrient buildup in the rockwool cube causing the issues.

@HolyAngel Yeah, whole apartment smells like sweet garlic with a strong superglue/gasoline undertone. The top buds are super dense, but the mids and lowers is really larfy. Really two ends of the spectrum.

I think the new version of Maxi Bloom suck tbh. I need to find a way to grow :pensive::pensive::pensive::pensive: It doesn’t perform like it use to. I notice how the plants have been up taking too much N and everything have been more finicky this grow. Do you have any idea of what I can try out if I can’t get hold of the old Maxi Bloom?

@m0sirys Yeah, really lime green and some good frost. But I wish we could have smellivision, because I’ve not had a Chem type bud smelling like this Dragon Drip pheno, and it turned out stronger then the tester plant I grew. The sweetness is even more penetrative and I’m not sure I like it. It’s on the borderline of being “too much”.

That’s interesting
What/how/how-much are you feeding the maxibloom exactly? Ive been adding jacks 103020 on top of 5g maxibloom in veg just to get the Nitrogen numbers up… no clawing over here. I drop the jacks after flip and go pure maxibloom at 7ish grams per gallon. Haven’t noticed a difference in bags/boxes. I do have a new 16lb pale to go through but still finishing up my old one. Is the label different on the new one or is the same?

It’s very different from the good old Maxi Bloom :pensive:

Ah that one. That’s in my fertilizer calculator.
Seems 6g of that dry part and like 0.75g of gypsum might work pretty good for flower. Bit less of the bloom for veg. Big issue seems to be the k:ca:mg ratio is off in there  need a way to boost calcium without adding more nitrogen, hence the gypsum. Still not great tho

Life is tough sometimes.

Well done, bud looks great, and if loud smell is there, that’s a start still

I will get some gypsum and give it a go! Thank you for taking a look at it. I’ve pretty much only used organics or Maxi Bloom for so many years, nothing have compared to the results. Organic/synganic is also where my heart is, so maybe this is a sign.

I’m seriously starting to rethink everything. I’m about to move quite far away and I’ve been thinking of getting a larger setup so that I can go synganics coco. I’ve had lots of success with it before and it’s very easy to work with. Getting like four larger tents being able to test plants better, do proper pheno hunts and do breeding with bigger returns.

@funkyfunk Yeah, it’s a really funky Funk smell. The Swazi Dragon S2 is quite inbred at this point, it got 3 finger dinasour leaflets and almost no smell. The buds are large, dense with sandy trichs and to be fair, I wouldn’t say that I can see much of the Swazi Gold in there. Only way I notice it is because I’ve smoke the first two Dutch Dragon mothers and the high had this crash to it that I didn’t like at all. This S2 doesn’t have this crash at all and it really transfered in the Dragon Drip cross. It’s the exact same high as Swazi Dragon, just much stronger. There is definitely some additional vigor going on in Dragon Drip and the sandy trichs, large and dense buds definitely comes from Swazi Dragon aswell. The terps are definitely Chem Chem Chem all the way through. I do think that the intense sweetness is from Swazi Dragon, especially the Dutch Dragon lineage, since it was quite sweet.

Well yeah your Swazi is highly inbred at that stage. But that’s what make it a good breeding tool now too. And you know it by heart. Plus if you can the high and some sweetness back in outcrosses, then that’s a winner.
