C’mon guys, you know that headache isn’t up there because they all cause a headache… Is someone going to accuse cookies of being bad because it causes so much dry mouth? :unamused::joy: I will say, dispensary, bodega, or illegal cookies weed (isn’t it mostly the same now?) causing headaches is something I’ll definitely buy. Mass production low grade, early chop, and pesticide sprayed stuff going out the back door of multiple legal opps these days.

For everyone… Each plant will smoke a little different, and how it’s grown, when it’s chopped, how it’s dried, etc. Will add further variance. I’ve grown a lot of everything, a lot more strains sans cookies, and just like every other poly hybrid, I’ve had cookies that have a great high, a meh high, racey anxiety inducing high, or a lethargic spacey high, or a focused-high that lasts long and is happy… Anyone seeing my point? But I have had a lot of dispensary weed from various genetic backgrounds that has a muted high.

Cookies has never caused a headache for me, at least not any more than any other stain to notice it. A lot of them taste and smell damn similar, kinda like OG in many cases, but OG’s smell even more similar to one another.

I think I and everyone where gets it, it’s just parroting in many cases. I don’t really care what people grow or smoke and what they like or dislike. But it irks me when people just join the masses in hating or loving something.

Can we please stop throwing every strain and plant, it’s devoid of logic. I’m here for the plants, and I could care less if you’re a cookies fanboi or hater, both groups are annoying.

For the record, I agree that too many cookies are bred for eye candy and max thc, but they’re not all like that, and sometimes that eye candy goes along with a plant that has a great high and has big yields and is fun to grow.

Talk to anyone that’s grown and smoked strains like MAC, GMO, Donny Burger, Dosidos, Kush Mints, Gushers, Wedding Cake, LCG, Gelato 41, Oreoz, Cereal Milk, Gary, OGKB, A&B and yes, permanant marker, etc. and the progeny there of. They’re really good to incredible in multiple ways. They’re not perfect, and you can find faults. Some are great breeding tools, some breed really well, some smell or taste amazing.

I’ve worked with Dosidos and PBB a little. Of all the strains I’ve talked to people about for medical uses, those two come up more than any other. Those are the two where I get prone saying things like me an my family member suffer from chronic pain and pbb helps us more than any other strain. My wife also prefers Dosi over anything I’ve ever grown when she has a headache or migraine. I prefer watermelon Z :man_shrugging:

Anyway, peace out, let’s try to be a little more open minded and not let some much deserved hatred for cookies cloud our judgement.

Lastly, I’m not some cookies fan, so please don’t come at me as such. I see them for what they are, a marketing machine, and for now, a selector of fem genetics that gets it very right sometimes, and a permanent and prominent fixture in the cannabis family tree for as long as any of us will be alive.

And put that with Faceoff, an aptly named strain (pheno?) imo

As for permanent marker, I’ve only had dispo crosses, they smoke like a lot of kush mints and gelato, cookies crosses that you guys like to hate. Definitely a lot of eye candy and meh highs, but I’m sure there are some great plants to be found and the experience improves with homegrown.

I am glad that you are having good experiences with these types of cannabis lineages. Everyone is different. I have tried most of these lines and they are not for me. I gave up on seed junky after the chaos that was Banana Cream jealousy. It was like all the bad effects from cannabis were competing for dominance with that one. I have one GSC cross lined up with Garlic Mints x Lavender Limeade because it has gone through the bodhi filter. I have enjoyed Modified Mints from Sin City Seeds and Forbidden fruit (only one pheno.) I believe that most GSC lines were not selected for effect but for bag appeal, ease of growth and concentrate extraction.

@CocoaCoir I think Thin Mint is often the culprit for people who don’t like the experience, perhaps Durban expresses and melds weird with some of the others, or who knows what else. There are several where I simply don’t like the high, I know where you guys are coming from, but they’re not all like that.

If you ever want to explore again find OGKB and Forum Cut lineage stuff, gelato 41 and related as well, I love the high on it, but I’ve also had gelato 41 that wasn’t anything like what I grew with a weak and short lived high…

I’ve got some More Cowbell stuff, really great plants.

All that said, if you look at my held plants and the strains I’ve made, not much cookies in there… There seem to plenty of people/breeders that have it covered :joy:
