Road kill was added to skunk as marketing. No one ever said rks before a grow forum data mining thread.
The name Road kill came after it was already gone. It’s what people were calling it when they were trying to find it again. Probably a way to describe what they remembered it smelling like. But back in the day it was just called skunk bud.
I would like to add that I have only ever seen the real deal from outdoor buds. In my experience the indoor environment changes the skunk smells to a more sweet aroma. When you make seeds indoors you lose the skunk profile in the following generations. It’s not a coincidence that skunk disappeared when everyone started growing indoors.
Kinda wanted to avoid this but seeing as someones post above is flagged for some reason I thought I’d chime in here. Medman is pretty well known around forum circles/Canada as kinda being a grifter/hustler. Makes insanely outrageous claims and has been banned from a few forums. I personally wouldn’t trust a word he says. It’s insane to me that he is allowed to be a “sponsor” on this site and continue to tell tall tales to sell people seeds who don’t know any better. One look at the website should be an instant red flag to most people.
Not everyone who calls someone out is a “troll” or someone who is just jealous lol. Has been posting about “rks” for over a decade. Personally I’ve never seen any credible claims of anyone finding anywhere let alone his gear. Honestly it seems like half the gear you grow you claim has skunk in it. Says he created fpog, popularized rockstar in Canada, both tall tales. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg lol

Alien had a “fruity pebbles” strain I never heard of.
“Fruity pebbles og” was named becuase of the thousands of seeds I sent to icmag for testers.
When alien found that out about that via ic mag he bought 200 seeds off me for 400.00 then resold them 1500.00 usd a pack. If anyone wants to protect new growers I suggest a troll on him too
