Maiden voyage ....first grow.. ( 12-20-20 )

No, no, stay up here! I don’t have enough growing friends!

You mention your room design a bit; what’s the sizing of your ducting there? Lights are a whole other thing; do you have any info on those Wayfair lights?

Thanks
Thinking I may offer clones when the time is right.

Thanks I have plastic two litter soda cases I could use for floor and that would allow me to make a small room. The sheet pink insulation 4 X 8 would b the walls.
Lots of possibilities.

getting some basic start stuff like the grow medium as well as the food.
planning the hydroponics next.
Then I will need better Lights.

No way. I was singing in my head when I read that.
Light should be fine for now. Not super bright, so I wouldn’t worry about burning the plants; but take that with a grain of salt. I started my seeds in 24 hr light… I liked my results in 20/4 better moving to 18/6 once they are a little older.

Light, its subjective. I run my babies 24/7 in veg, then flip photos to 12/12

Nutrients, soil running Fox Farms trio, in ffof soil.
Hempy, running jacks nutrients

Looking great! Keep up the good work :v::peace_symbol::call_me_hand:

MY PLANTS ARE ROCKING TO THE TUNE JUST LIKE IN YOUR HEAD.

Sounds like a good name for a hybrid strain, or the them song for this post…

Our final tune for after the grow will be changed to DREAM ON

I choose DREAM ON to be the official tune that plays in your head when it"s after grow time.

                 BREAKING NEWS
The first true leaves have emerged.
          ( I haven't killed the plants yet )

I will rest them in the dark for 4 hrs before they go back under the light.

Need to go to Home Depot for potting supplies and plant food.
As soon as good roots emerge I will start the hydroponic phase of the grow.

My grow room may be constructed from insulation sheets. I will tape the structure together and modify to fit my needs for space.

What do ya think of this idea?

DON’T BE SHY…FEEDBACK PLEASE

When you get ready to flower the grow will need to be light tight. Light leaks will adversely affect the flowering process.

Not sure what your budget is but grow tents are relatively cheap

I would say a tent would be cheaper unless you already have materials. That was my experience anyways.

One problem with the design though, a door. Are you planning to just open one face to access the plants? I’m not sure how well the foam board or tape will hold up to this, Not while sealing the area.

Also note, light likes to leak through cracks- your corners will be vulnerable to leaking light/air as the box shape only needs to flex. slightly for the only barrier to be the tape. You could reinforce as needed of course.

               T O D A Y 12-29-20. ( DAY 8 )

#1 and #2 are up and reaching for the sky. #3 will catch up soon.T he seedlings are about an inch . tall. I am keeping the plants about 2 inches from the light.

Cross your fingers for 3.

52 years old. Retired from govt job a couple years ago. Loved smoking weed in high school but gave it up for my careers. Been buying weed at dispensaries but since I live in az I started growing weed because growing it seems way more fun than buying it. I have a white widow auto that I started from an iglm seed dec 5th. So far, so good. Saw first signs of pre flower yesterday.
