Is it root bound? I have a sugarcane mom that I let get root bound and she started to flower in 18/6

As a guy who keeps and have kept many photo males in veg for extended periods, while I test out their progeny, I can say a percentage will flower, once they reach a certain age, even under 24 light, with lots of root space. They just wanna do their thing.
You will often hear something like “holds true in veg” as a criteria for selecting males, on the pod casts. I cull males that don’t stay in veg mode while under a veg lighting regime.:grin::peace_symbol:
