Thatā€™s not horrible, but if you hit up a home brewing store/website youā€™ll get a much better $/pound on a 50lbs bag.

Or just use some sprouted POPCORN kernels to get those enzymes!!

Both is even better!

Iā€™m using that same brand right now.If you hit up a consumer beverage brew store or a feed store you will get a better price for more weight.

Itā€™s pretty steep if ya have a brew store most base malts run about 1$- 1.5$ Per pound a good store will have a mil for grinding, base Malts back in the day when I was brewing was like 75$/50lb bag

Using 2 row is good for your propose 6 row a bit more more money but not much has more diastatic enzymes in it to help convert over higher starch adjuncts

ok, good to knowā€¦
so much good stuff to learn!!

I went to add to my top dress last night and I almost had a tear in my eye. When I took my mulch off to the side to add a cup of barley to my plant I was like wow this dirt is really squishy so I put my light on the dirt and all I can say is Iā€™ve never seen so many night crawlers in the dirt like that ever.I was pulling handfuls of them up and mixing them back into the dirt.I got the worms to like my dirt for the first time ever. The Tricome production is off the chain and it just keeps bulking up and the color is vibrant and full of life

If I knew that some malted barley and worm castings did this I would have saved hundreds of dollars back in the day on all that crap in the bottle I wasted my money on.Iā€™ll never deviated from this Soil mix ever again.Weā€™re not even finished yet Iā€™m trying to get her to the middle of October if I can.Where Iā€™m at it gets cold around that time gotta watch for frost

When ya have happy healthy plants with high Brix levels you will even have better frost protection also.

Thank you for that nugget of knowledge I didnā€™t think about that one.increased tricome production makes a type of armor for the plant I think these plants make that stuff with all the terps as a form of protection from the outside elements.

Iā€™m just using this one off of Amazon it was an experiment that had tremendous results. You can definitely get it at a home brew store cheaper 15 bucks is a lot for that malted barley in bulk is cheap I paid for having it dropped off at my doorstep ease of access.Itā€™s a clean product and it smells like a whopper or a malt milkshake when you mix it in the dirt. The worms love it youā€™ll get real huge night crawlers out of that mix I use two cups malted barley and mix it in real good by hand every time I top dress and I mix some really good worm castings in twice during the cycle too.Out door you can use a little moreā€¦
