@MichiGreen You guys are pushing me so badly, @DatDamDog if you don’t buy from us, it hard to tell if its the ours or not. Thus we cannot provide him a free warranty, this is the biggest disadvantage to not buy from official, i bet every company does this.
@DatDamDog Giveaway is totally different from this, the reason we do a giveaway is to show more members how’s our item with a honest review.
Then why sell to unofficial?
You should probably atleast update your warranty rules on your website to state what you claim in here… you wont have to deal with a shit storm (of 100% legit complaints) if it is actually explained in the warranty information. As it sits you’re a company with a pissed off customer who is pissed off due to your lack of explanation on the website and the way you continually change your own rules to avoid sending 1 dollar worth of LEDs. All you have accomplished is another black mark against your brand.
The best advice I can give you… look up “vortex optics” and research their warranty program… they are a budget minded scope/binocular brand with reasonable quality products. Their warranty program is the sole reason their company is as successful as they are.
Was waiting for that… a knock off of a cheap Chinese light…or is it past employee make theft…Finally some true comedy in this thread…thank you @DatDamDog for your persistence.
Like I said earlier they sold old/defective lights wholesale to someone to get rid of the problem which isn’t a problem and is common but they should be clearly marked as so … My father worked at a place that bought and sold salvaged/expired/outdated cargo there is always a buyer for the cheap bulk junk
@DatDamDog The first reason we cannot provide you a free warranty is because you are not buy from our official channel. This item is our old version Mars II, its already off-market since 2018. I personally think your seller sell you a second-hand, that’s why it will be burnt our in 6 month.
Because you buy from a seller we are not authorized, the outlook might the same with us, its hard to tell what’s inside, that’s why I said it might be 'FAKE’
@DatDamDog I am very sorry to tell you that we cannot provide you a free warranty in a tough words, this is the regulations in our company, aiming to stop some bad business like your seller did to you.
If this seller is still selling on Ebay, you can take cusumer’s right on Ebay to apply a claim to his store.
My Question is if someone buys a Mars hydro light off of Amazon is the warranty valid ?
Nope. They will give you the run around.
Their warranty on their site says otherwise.
But as you can see here - it’s not
Do yourself a favor. There are better lights out their and for better prices.
I’m done with these scam artists.
Good luck
Though if you have the same light as @DatDamDog I doubt it was ever sold through an “official” channel or at least not after it was discovered to be a flawed product then I’m sure they were wholesaled off to a “unofficial” retailer where it became that guys problem
Out of this whole conversation all I’ve found myself wondering is who the fuck thought copying your lights was a good idea anyway far better brands out there to copy and make triple what you sell 2-3 of your lights for.
Love your bad English as always
No I don’t have any of their products. i was asking cause when I bought my lights i saw theirs on Amazon as well. I wanted to be sure for further reference or for the people reading ( or who will read) this thread. That way there is no confusion lol
No confusion. They are a scam with bad lighting. Use at your own risk and read the threads. I’m not the only one that thinks they are a scam.
I warned everyone since day one of them joining our forum that they can not be trusted. Every bit of their company/business is shadey AF. I was deeply saddened when I realised we now had them as a sponsor and thought they would seriously effect the balance of our forum and they did on a few occasions get people’s backs up with false promises. Fuck marshydro. If everyone mutes all the posts from them they will hopefully get the message that they are not welcome here and leave our forum permanently.
I wish I seen your warning.
Never again -
@Zoey Don’t you see. Everyone wants you gone. Get the hint. Stop writing to me. I don’t even care about your light anymore. But for you to sit there and say the light is fake. You are mocking me and brother… every post you make here. I will be giving people warning. That’s just because you won’t take responsibility for YOUR defective piece of shit.
Fuk off.
MAR II 900 vs the “other brand”. Is the other brand in the photo an example of a counterfeit? Per policy, of course.
I would avoid third parties (such as Amazon) for the purchasing of their product until they have explicitly clarified the Warranty to define who is in-fact an “authorized” reseller and what products are covered. This clarification should not come from a forum posting but as part the actual Warranty (and having Warranty coverage is not “free” despite the rhetoric).
Best bet is to purchase directly from their corporate web-site for any sort of assurance while keeping in-mind that they also attempt to limit their liability in the current Warranty with statements such as:
Warranty coverage is ultimately left to the discretion of Mars Hydro. We reserve the right to refuse warranty repair or replacement service to anyone.
Having access to the warranty may not matter anyhow. You’d essentially be relying on the good-will from the corporation (outside of the courts) even if purchased directly. They’ve taken the tact on a couple of occasions that company “policy” easily overrides implicit or explicit contract whether lawful or not. Going further with a claim wouldn’t be worth the time and effort beyond taking a principled stance. From my perspective, the product warranty amounts to a marketing piece (hoping you don’t read/ignore the fine print).
