All of the mints, including rosemary, lavendar, cilantro, etc are excellent repellers.
I get an ocean breeze here. Iām still fighting against using anything but the elements in this circulation thing. Dammit! I really donāt want to bust out an extension cord and fan. I suppose I will if I really really have too. Short of plant death. lol
I read recently oregano was a good one near veggies. Iām gonna put some oregano and basil by my tomatoes and peppers when they are ready for the ground.
Come to think of wonder if parsley is a good one as well had a Hugh clump of it right next to my cannabis plant in the box I was at one time taking parsley and spearmint branches and just lying them across the top of my scrog I only saw a few aphids get on them !
Iāve been having good results from mint, fennel , lavender and coriander around my grows now. Been cutting off tops and cooking them up in water then applying as a foliar with a bit molasses as a sticker
I realized today that there is a very real possibility that I can space out and kill everything in my greenhouse in one shot. Like a jackass, I rolled up the door for air flow at 9:30 am then got busy and remembered it was open at 7 pm. None of my seedlings in there are happy with me right now. Pretty sure that I shocked them all. Meant to just air it out for like 2 or 3 hours. Ummā¦ hardening offā¦this was more like sink or swim. Irritated with myself. Iāll check them in the morning when I can see out there.
Lolā¦ I too suffer the odd memory lapse tooā¦ rather than chide myself I put it down to my ageing gracefullyā¦
welcome to the club looolz
I think itās good to give them a little stress from time to time makes for stronger plants IMO
@Robin speaking of getting old! Yeah, thatās it! Iām actually celebrating my birthday early (Itās on Wednesday) and heading to the hot springs and spa today where I donāt have to remember a damn thing except where to get another mimosa and what time I get my massage.
Checked the greenhouse before I go, everything is alive. Thatās kind of important. Looking okay in there thankfully. Guess I didnāt screw up to bad yet.
Okayā¦Now off to the spa where I will lay like a vegetable. Have a great day friends! I Will!
Have fun Meesh and enjoy yourself oh and Happy early Birthday!
Happy early birthday from the forgetters club haha
On a cool note, I had emailed the makers of Mammoth P since I had been throwing the leftovers in my flowers and other plantsā¦ and they respondedā¦
My emailā¦ Hi there!
Is Mammoth P safe for flowers? Non cannabis plants? Specifically flowers in my garden. I was wondering if you tested it on other plants and if it works on them?
Their responseā¦ Hello Michelle,
Thanks for reaching out! Yes we have tested Mammoth P on flowering plants and crops. Specifically hops, peppers, and tomatoes. These trials all showed an increase in over yield and plant potential/quality.
Mammoth P will work on your house plants, simply add our microbes to your normal nutrient mix or plain water at the rate of 0.6ml per gallon.
All the best,
Sergio
I thought that was really cool of them! And in case any of my other Gardeners out there have been wondering if itās worth the money just for their cannabis grows, now we know that it will work on anything! After this comparison, we should know if the yield increases and it works as they claim.
Todayās picsā¦ WTF is up with this leaf? DD without P looking good aside from itā¦
DD WITH P
Fem mix with P aka the swan
Wednesdayās are feed day. thinking the fish fert is not giving them enough of what the need as they look like they are starting to eat their cotyledons. What do you guys think? Time to switch to new version of Megacrop?
Also, do you think I should just lop off that leaf? Or still too young? Canāt understand why itās fucked up. Simple organic fish fert shouldnāt burn them should it? At first the leaf looked skinned, now this.
Fish fertilizer has a lot of nitrogen, could easily burn with it. Iāve burnt plants with too much barley sprout teaā¦
THIS is why Iām so afraid of nutrients dammit! Especially on babies. So gosh darn it, Iām in a soilless mix right now, Not exactly nutrients in my medium, so how the fuck do I feed them without burning? Frustrating! The Cotyledons are turning limey like they want food. Guess Iāll try 1/4 strength Megacrop tomorrow and hope for the best.
Apparently, I donāt know WTF Iām doing my first time sprouting in a soilless mix. Thinking they are gonna replant in soil where Iām comfortable once they grow out of these pots.
They are right about at the age to take nutrients. My Dark Devil looks worse off than yours. The others are keeping up with 1750 PPM without any issues.
Not sure what the issue could beā¦
if you mean the browned tip, itās leaf tip burn, most likely from heat in this caseā¦maybe sunburn(your vinyl greenhouse is very bright inside). when we burn them with too much fertilizer their internal temps go high, like they have a fever, and thatās why they exhibit similar leaf-tip burn. apparently the innards can get several+( i wanna say 14 F) degrees hotter than we can measure with the surface temp.
Okay, so let me ask thisā¦ If itās a burn from the sun in the greenhouse, Iām fairly confused on thisā¦ Reason being last summer my outside plants were exposed to many many days of 90 degree temps (mind you they were bigger plants then) but none of them got burned from heat. I canāt imagine that my greenhouse has gotten even that hot yet. We have barely hit 70 degree temps outside until this week and itās dropping again for a storm thatās coming. I had actually moved the plants closer to the sunnier side of the greenhouse as they were all leaning towards the sun this week. Are you basically saying @cannabissequoia that I burned it as if I were a kid with one of those red magnifying glasses sizzling ants? Iām gonna move them back to the other side of the greenhouse and see if they do better.
EWC mix in your base mix at about 30% if youād were to ask me about nutes in a bottle or dry in a bag that you mix with water Iād say trash them F$&kers there not worth the time and expense its force feeding the plants just my $02 USD
