Michigan Community

I really miss the medical cannabis community here in Michigan of years past. All of our work, sacrifice, successes and failures through the decades.

Consider those High TImes Medical Cups held at Auto City Speedway during the height of the MMMA era versus whatever High TImes and our Adult use licensees/“Stakeholders” are literally selling out of their dispensaries today. We have lost something here that is not that easy to put into words I guess.

The MMMA freefall continues …

It’s been years, but I’m hoping Knucklehead Bobs still kicking? Anyone might know if the old man’s still with us ?

I have a question. I too have kept my med card. I don’t buy enough that the tax out weighs the cost of the card.
I had understood I could do 12 as med and 12 as rec. I was then told only 12 total.

I don’t grow hardly any sensi but, doing these co-op/freaker seed runs, I go over 12 all the time. If I get 20/40 seeds I will germinate them all and hope for at least 1 male and 1 female. With the Kashmir, I ended up with 17 plants plus clones.

For every 6 plants, I might have 6-10 for back up plus clones. That said I didn’t even get one bud from the three runs I did last year.

@G-paS If you live alone, the card doesn’t help. You need two (or more) people each with a card to get multiples of 12 plants, legally. But as someone already mentioned, no one is getting raided for having a few plants over their limit, anyway.

Here’s what alarms me most about your post: “That said I didn’t even get one bud from the three runs I did last year.”

No buds? What happened?

They were all seed runs. 2 were reversals and I let them go until they are totally dead and dry. I haven’t in the past. It is hard to deal with sticky buds. I get enough for edibles from the sift normally.

The question on the numbers one MI member said he got 12 for rec and 12 for medical. My grandson Lives in my 1/2 basement at least enough to leave dirty undies to claim as living there so he can claim12 rec not that he does any. I have a attached but separate Mother-in-law apartment where I grow.

I have a whole second auxiliary set up for when 2 co-op or other seed runs coliid.

I have heard it said that under 12" aren’t counted toward the 12. Also that unrooted counts not at all no matter how tall. (shrug) I cannot say any of this is true.

@TheMan13 may be able to help.

It is just too nuanced/lawyered today to even guess at the “legal consequences” of a home grow in reality. That said, I assume/hope our criminal courts no longer sign felony warrants to raid folks family homes based simply on the smell, shoot their dogs and take all their stuff (asset forfeiture) to include your MMMA patient and/or caregiver cards like we witnessed the first decade of medical here.

It is safe to say the lawyered game of the state selling medical licenses (2016) and 2 years later adult use licenses (2018) out of a state created regulatory agency has changed (“captured”) the game. The “rules” for us are clearly not the same as the “rules” intended for them, but there are quite a mess of contradictions/absurdities in these laws that would make for easy fodder for a good defense attorney in a criminal court today …

It is hard to believe 23 years have passed since we lost Tom & Rollie. Luckily for those responsible 9/11 would occur days later …

12 plants per person in the household–???
If you go over- but under 50- they confiscate it, slap you on the wrist and check up on you time to time (from what I have been told) some get fines up to $500…
No legal ramifications under 50 plants- and clones must be rooted, in soil, and actively growing to over 10-12’’ to count as a plant.
We need it as defined as what Fla. is proposing-- 6 in bloom, 6 in veg- 6 clones…pretty straight forward…but make it 10-12 each not 6!! They do not account for males.

Thanks for the info. That was how I read it. I was just told I was wrong at it was 12 per household medical. 12 per household rec.

Either way, I have it set so my Grandson is his own “house hold” The mother-in-law has it’s own utilities. and 1/2 address.

I didn’t realize it stated clones unrooted in soil. So I need to keep Moms under 10 inch?

It’s been a really good year in comparison with last October’s constant rain this far!

Gale Winds sure do put the ladies to the test structurally and last night it was blowing 50mph here. Hope everyone’s ladies are standing strong this morning!

A couple of my finest ladies did not make it thru the night. But it wasn’t the wind that got em. All night harvest/wash/repeat two nights in a row now. I’m pooped.
One was the biggest plant I’ve grown so far
