The stretch is on. Sunday will be day 21 of flower. Not sure if I’m going to defoliate again or wait a few more day. I’m a fan of AC infinity but these self watering bases are junk. Have one plant thats taking in all the water and has a soggy bottom, one plant that’s normal and 2 that the wicks must have clogged because they are barely drinking. Cleaned all the wicks today and top watered the front 2 plants with recharge and filled rez with no nutrient water. Octopots only from now on.
Guess I can show off the up and comers. 3 plants in octos are pineapple fields and the 1 gal is my lemon lollipops clone. Decided my plan to have mothers was dumb because I have alot of strains I want to grow out so I trashed all my clones expect the 1 lollipops since it had the same flower time as the pinneaple fields. Needs a few more weeks inbthe short pot before I transfer to final home. Not sire if I’m going to run it in octo or a 5 gal smart pot with growdots. Think I’m going to do the growdots to test them out.
Currently in a 30x30 tent under the electric sky 180. I have a feeling I’m going to be buying another tent soon as the octos tmshoykd outgrow this tent quick and still have atleast another 6 weeks of veg before my flower tent is available. I have 2 other led lights a 100w and 150w so I think the combo of all 3 should be fine to veg a 4x4 tent. Otherwise I do have the 600w cmh/hps hood and ballast in the shed collecting dust…
Day 25 of flower. Added 3 nutrients to my base. Cannazym 6ml, rhizotonic 2ml and canna boost 4ml. Got a ph pen and ppm meter to check out everything, I haven’t used one since going to octopots since I use ro or dehumidifier water and the same nutrients, never had issues. Current mix is 5.5 ph and 1040 ppm. The octopots get thi
s mix every watering but the ac infinity self watering bases get fed every other watering with a top water of recharge on non feed days. Jist wondering if I should back off the feed, not seeing any issues right now with the plants.
Looks like the stretch is done and the plants are starting to produce buds. 4x4 tent is looking good. May defoliate this weekend, they didnt leaf up a while lot from my week 2 defoliation so I may just left them go. Any input appreciated.
The 2 octos in the 2x4 with the solarsytem light showing some curling leafs on some of the top colas due to being too close to the light, unfortunately I can’t raise the light anymore, definitely going to have to use this light in a 4x4 for the added height. Drinking about a gallon a day each.
Start of week 4. Both grapefruits are showing bananas unfortunately, wont be growing these again. I think I’m just going to let them go and hope the bananas are duds at this point.
I was wrong, just 1 of the grapefruits have bananas.
Day 28 of flower. Defoliated and thinned out the 2x4 of shorter branches. Got real sticky lol, not a easy task defoliating that dense ass canopy.
Don’t think I’m going to defoliate tue 4x4, there seems to be plenty of airflow and the canopy isn’t very dense and is allowing for good light penetration into the 2nd level of the plants. Gave them a top watering of recharge today. The nanner maker is the front left plant.
Day 32 of flower, almost half way there.
The grapefruits are correctly named, touching. Abuf makes your fingers smell like you just pealed a Grapefruit. The Kalis have a unique smell, I don’t even know what to call it, citrusy shit smell lol, not the greatest smelling flower i have smelt but looking good.
The lemon lollipops have a strong citrus smell.
Things keep rolling along. The veg 30"x30" is getting overrun by the 3 pineapple fields in octopots. Did a bunch of stem crushing, supercropping and a inadvertent topping. They are now getting full strength veg nutes. They still have another 4 weeks of veg so these things are going to be monsters, especially the rear left plant.
Greetings fellow Minnesotan. Looking good. I have 5 Plants Starting week 8 since germination. Monster sized in these octopots. Maybe one day you can show me to defoliate and LST. Im pretty weak in that area. Keep your good work. Love MN has finally see’s the green.
Yoyr plants are looking good. For defoliation I keep it simple. I remove every fan leaf the day before the flip to 12/12. I remove all the fan leaves again at day 14 of flower and depending on need 1 more time week in the 3-4 week zone once they have stopped stretching. I think the general concensus is to not fuck with them after week 5.
What I do I dont think is considered lst since it’s alot of trauma lol. I dont tuck and bend, I crush and break my stems. Every 2-3 days during veg I will go in a jist crush the shit out of all the stems, i try to get my plants to bush out without topping, I just keep crushing the main stem and folding down below the other growth but sometimes it happens. I try to get my plants to have a 2’x2’ canopy. Theory being that the stems rebuild themselves stronger and pass more water and nutrients through them, pretty sure i got the idea from a george Cervantes video from back in the day. I will say my stems are considerably bigger since starting this practice. Attached some picks showing the knots on the stems and the thickness of the stems. I dont do this during flower
In the Home stretch. Harvest window should start around April 25. Added canna pk 13/14 this watering. The Grapefruit Kalis smell amazing and are stacking buds like mad. They still have 3+ weeks to go and already have buds bigger than what I’ve harvested in the past, going to be a big producer. The Kalis snapples are looking solid. Not as big of buds but stacking nicely and looming to be a pretty easy trim. The lemon lollipops are looking good but aren’t stacking buds like the other plants, hopefully in the next few weeks they start to fill out more, evertime I open the 4x4 I’m shocked with the changes where as the lollipops seem to have been pretty stagnate in thier growth as of late. Stem porn for the octos, going to need a chainsaw to cut these girls down. Easily 3x the size of the plants on the ac infinity bases.
Performed some big time topping and trimming on my pinneapple fields in veg. Drove 2 hours to get another 4x4 tent and all the grow shops were out of 4x4s so I had to settle for a 3x3 which dodnt give me a whole lot more room than the tent they were in. Considering I still have a full month before my flower tents will be available I had to take some drastic measures and I still think I’m screwed. These plants are growing like crazy.
Pineapple fields in veg have some spots I haven’t dealt with before. Anyone point me in a direction?
The end is near, switched to plain water today . The should jabe netted the 4x4, plants as there are alot of slumped over branches. The 2x4 is filling in but alot smaller buds. The grapefruits are finishing the quickest as there is alot of amber already and the Kalis aren’t far behind. The lemon lollipops aren’t showing amber yet but they will be getting chopped along with the others 2 weeks from now.
Last update before chop this weekend. The grapefruits and kalis are putting on the weight. Big solid dense buds. Definitely going to use trellis next time I grow them as they are flopping all over. The lemon lollipops pops are getting some amber , buds aren’t as big but solid as hell.
Lookin good!
It was crazy to see how quickly they bounced back from the defoliation - I’m not used to seeing it that heavy, but looks like you have things dialed in.
Excited to hear how the grapefruit Kali Snapple smokes! I’ve been debating buying a pack of that for a while now…
They are very resilient plants. I crush their stems, defoliate , ect and they come back stronger.
Yeah the Grapefruit is the one I’m most excited for. Huge dense buds and it smells like your peeled a Grapefruit when you touch them. I have pineapple fields in veg now and just ordered Relic seeds SSH from JBC seeds which will probably be my next grow. Will probably revist the grapefruits after that run.
Hi there
I just found your thread and enjoyed reading it
The spots on the leaves very easily couldn’t be a PH adjustment or also resembles the calcium deficiency
Dynasty run some great gear I’ve always like Prof P work. I ran his orange tart, which was some good weed, but I’ve always wanted to run salmon River or their pineapple field. Thanks for posting.
Garden looks great
Nice and clean and easy to work
I’ll be tagging along for the ride
I’ll be sitting in the corner in my recliner joint rolled and popcorn in hand watching the show
Puff puff pass
Paps
Thank you. Yeah the spots were wierd, I ended up defoliating and cutting the plant back due to space issues and so far none of the new growth has the leaf issues. The pineapple fields grow will start getting more love once I get these plants chopped and the plants set up for flower.
