Minnesota is about to legalize

To be fair, tomatoes are a nightshade… if you’re sufficiently motivated and grow enough of them to extract the roots and stems, you can make poison as well as ketchup. :stuck_out_tongue: Otherwise, this seems to be an explicitly partisan political argument in newbie’s clothing. I expect it’ll stop soon, voluntarily or not, though…

Weed is safer than tomatoes. A crate of tomatoes could fall on your head. And no one has a crate of weed.

Is that the same South Dakota who voted to legalize cannabis only to have the nutbag governor have a couple cops sue the state to overturn it?

LOL I knew someone was gonna say something like this. Also to be fair some people see ketchup as a poison on its own.

Have you ever been there??? They fucking love their “nutbag” governor. Not one person I’ve ever met in my many years of going there wanted weed legalized. Mainly cause they don’t want people like you coming there. It’s not weed, bro. It’s you they don’t like.

Been there often. Got family there and most people I talk to from there support legalization so I guess not all people are in agreement. It also makes me wonder what kind of people you hang out with who wouldn’t support the freedom of legalization.

So I guess I’m not the only one with dead wrong assumptions.

And trust me they do want people like me going there and spending my money from out of state. They need tourism money.

Bravo sir bravo. You will be missed. Go back to Stormfront.

Only 2 extra. My first outdoor in 2021. I grew 4 and lost 2. Last year I grew 6 and lost 1. So it is 6 from here on out. Plus that is all I can fit in “The Gauntlet” :sunglasses: :metal:

That’s just Minnesota Nice in action.

I’m sorry I fed into his bullshit and clogged this thread up. Just felt like he just wanted to piss on the parade for no good reason.

I’m flabbergasted he wouldn’t see this as progress. Like hey isn’t it good you go from being scared the DEA will bust down your door for googling marijuana to being able to freely discuss growing and smoking freely here?

Just cuz I support this bill doesn’t mean every fucked up thing the govt has done I support. The current Minnesota legislature and governor this session have codified abortion and trans rights, voted to fund free school lunches for all children, and are now on the threshold of legalizing cannabis. So yeah I don’t see the need to call all these politicians pedophiles and people that support them slaves. If that was what the old OG was all about then I’m glad I missed it.

Jeeez glad I didn’t get into that conversation……as for started growing in 1996……bah bahhh bahhh bahhhh…what was I doing in 96 ….oh yeah recovering from a horrific bike accident and having my mom and dad tend to my grow which was my 2nd one that year preceded by 15 years of terrific growing with no intervention from anyone including DEAand local LEO

Peace out

The bill made it out of conference committee today so the last details have been ironed out. The personal possession limit will be 2lbs of flower, 8g of concentrate. Municipalities have to allow one dispensary per every 12500 people. The state tax rate will be 10%. The timeline for retail is 12 to 18 months. Everything else is unchanged. The final vote will probably be later this week and then it will be signed.

On the one hand, this seems better than a lot of states. On the other hand, boy have they beaten us down badly if we’re at the point where we think a 20% tax is them doing us a favor.

Score me as one of those bright eyed liberal kids who thought his grandpa was crazy, but as time goes on I really get it.

Where did you get the 20% tax rate? It will be 10% in this bill.

It was my understanding that it’s a 10+10% tax, 10% “normal” tax and 10% “special sin” tax. What is the total tax out the door supposed to be?

I thought I read that it would be 10% on top of the regular sales tax.
