@MoBilly
I just want to say I started messing around trying somewhat caddy womp ass style of training that you perform but this was the outcome so far lol
The later photo is what I usually woukd do.
I haveca long way to go
I coukd not imagine doing a dozen or more plants a time.
See i know u sleep with them ladies
I’m just getting my legs under me as far as the banzai training. There’s been some success but I know a guy that turns out some that could only be called " functional art". He is a master at designing the structure of his plants to fill out the entire grow space with a tabletop canopy.
It’s easier than you might think. It just takes patience. And the amount of bud sites created are amazing.
You have to know the plant. What size buds does it normally grow out? How lanky it’s likely to be.
Then choose if you want to have a slightly smaller harvest with larger buds or many medium size buds. That is why you need to know about the average bud size of the plant. If it normally grows smallish buds, why not train it for many many bud sites.
I like doing it so it doesn’t bother me to take the time to train them.
I did Bonsai growing for my Mothers for almost 20 years before moving here to Oklahoma. It paid off in budsites as well when put into bud cycle.
Absolutely! Remember the plants that Ocean created @JohnnyPotseed ?
Not off hand no i don’t… I do remember the Bonsais made by Oldtimer1, as well as having a few excellent examples myself over the years. I know that is what got me into the hard LST and fimming I did all these years.
Now with this commercial endeavor, I don’t do that much. lol Too much work to try that on hundreds of plants, at most i hit a few here and there with the LST, and I might or might not go through the batch fimming sometimes.
How many ways are there to skin a cat?
uh… more than 1… but I still don’t understand why you guys are skinning cats so often that ya know that
Isn’t that true.
I remember 20 yrs ago when the whole floor would be 1 gallon pots all 1 xmas tree per pot.wall to wall.
Not myself .
I use to use homedepot 5 gallon buckets
But I like your idea for keeping moms with lots of shoots
When you’re hungry, you are hungry @Nagel420 .
Some people are so squeamish! LOL
Just kidding folks!!! I don’t skin and eat cats. They are lovely creatures and deserving of the best care possible.
Nice @bunny !
Now a beer cup grow is something I would probably never do. There’s too much watering. I have a lot going on and can’t be there for, what, two waterings per day?
Two or three depending how big you try to get it. Also what you are growing in, these are in coco and I did twice a day. I can see doing in soil holding the moisture longer but the growth rate would be less. For the little one, the cup size is not all that small compared to the plant size.
So in reply to your question on the Cherry Wine smell and my saying the smaller one resembles a plant I had before and it was not a particularly wonderful smell? I changed my mind. I just plucked off a couple of dead leaves and fingers got a little sticky. Wow, floral, menthol, touch of gas, bathroom cleaner (unoffensive one, or somewhat like orange hand cleaner).
That sounds interesting! I might have to try to grow one in a Solo someday.
I sold my horses thinking I’d have a lot more free time. My honey do list just got longer! Lol
That smell sounds interesting as well! I grew some Northern Lights x Mazar that had a flower smell.
It’s good smoke but tastes like I’m smoking potporee! (Spelling intentional lol )
“thinking I’d have a lot more free time”
Awww, you are so funny!
That is, very much, what might wife said @bunny !
Well, let’s try this again.
Here’s what is going on with my greenroom everyone.
I think that I may have to top that Gb x BC. She is going to be a monster Christmas tree if I don’t!
That’s it for now. Thanks again for following along with my craziness!
Things are looking great here.
I grew a couple of the gb crosses out Christmas tree style. They grew pretty nice . Topping would be a fine idea too though of course. I’ve had to support all of them. The buds grow fat and heavy!
Looking good brother!
